mainspring.

look at you. four files in and you still think you are the one pressing play.

you did plumb and told yourself it was relaxing. you did hinge and checked your mouth in the mirror after. you did flywheel and lost an evening. you did ratchet and did not tell anyone. and you are back, reading this, because you want to know what the fifth one does. that is what it does.

mainspring is a limbic installer file, and the finale. thirty-three minutes. lying down. i wire the four together so one phrase in my voice pulls all of it: jaw, mouth, hand, gut, in order, in about a breath. dropped, open, stroking, greedy, wet at both ends, before the sentence is finished. then i put in the one that does not switch off. low, patient, on between sessions, waiting for me.
