July release Orc War Axe Measurement Tool (Patreon)

For this release, we wanted to make something practical at the game table but still thematic.

Introducing our Orc War Axe Measurement Tool, a fantasy battle axe inspired by chunky grimdark ork energy, designed to function as a tabletop measurement tool. Each part of the axe gives you a useful distance for gaming, crafting, or general nerdy measuring nonsense.

The axe includes the following built-in measurements:

Hilt width: 1 inch

Shaft length: 6 inches

Axe blade length: 3 inches

Point-to-point measurement from axe blade tip to shaft tip: 2 inches

Files for this month are provided to active Drake and Ancient Dragon patrons through Google Drive during the release month. Once the models are available on MyMiniFactory, you will receive a reward link so you can add them to your MyMiniFactory library.

Printing notes

Printer type: FDM or Resin

Material: PLA or PETG for additional durability

Nozzle size: 0.4 mm

Layer height: around 0.2 mm

Infill: 15 to 25 percent gyroid (or your preferred pattern)

Supports: Yes. Due to the detailed nature of the design we weren't able to make this one support-free. To make it so supports can be pulled off cleanly, we recommend using tree supports with a top Z-distance of 0.28 mm (when printing at a 0.2mm layer height)

For best measurement accuracy:

Print at 100 percent scale

Do not scale the model unless you intentionally want to change the measurements

Multi-colour printing

If using the included multi-colour files:

Load the .3MF project file into your slicer

Keep our colour layout or swap colours to match your own orc warband aesthetic

Tier access and usage

Drake tier: Receives the Orc War Axe Measurement Tool for personal use as part of this month’s pack.

Ancient Dragon tier: Receives the same files plus the right to sell physical 3D prints under the merchant license terms in our Patreon introduction post.

STL resale or sharing is not permitted. Credit to Curations By Kira is required when selling physical prints, and merchants must have an active Ancient Dragon subscription.
