August Release Fantasy Bubble Pipes (Patreon)

The bubble pipes are ready!

This release started because we love the idea of whimsical fantasy bubble pipes, but we kept running into one big practical issue with many of the ones we had seen: they tip over.

That means as soon as you are done blowing bubbles, you either have to keep holding the pipe or dump out the remaining bubble solution before it spills everywhere.

So we wanted to make a version that feels magical, but is also actually usable.

Our fantasy bubble pipe has a strong square base so it can stand upright between uses. The long curved pipe shape is inspired by Thorin Oakenshield’s pipe, with a functional base that can hold bubble solution while you pause, reload, or set it down between bubble rounds.

We included two style variants:

Dwarven runes

Eldritch runes

Files for this month are provided to active Drake and Ancient Dragon patrons through Google Drive during the release month. Once the models are available on MyMiniFactory, you will receive a reward link so you can add them to your MyMiniFactory library.

Printing notes

Printer type: FDM

Material: PLA or PETG

Nozzle size: 0.4 mm

Layer height: around 0.2 mm

Infill: 20 to 30 percent gyroid, or your preferred pattern. Avoid sparse infills as you want the base to be heavy enough to not tip over.

Supports: only necessary on the Bubble blowing insert / mechanism pieces

Assembly and use

Print your chosen bubble pipe and either the left or right bubble mechanism piece.

Fit the bubble blowing mechanism into the slot at the top of the pipe base.

Add bubble solution to the open base area so that the bubble mechanism can be submerged in the solution.

Dip the bubble mechanism into the solution, then press the tab so the mechanism raises in line with the air hole of the pipe.

Blow firmly through the pipe and adjust your airflow as needed.

Use notes

A slower, steadier breath usually works better than a hard puff.

Rinse and dry the pipe after use if you want to avoid sticky bubble residue building up inside the mechanism.

Tier access and usage

Drake tier: Receives the Fantasy Bubble Pipes for personal use as part of this month’s pack.

Ancient Dragon tier: Receives the same files plus the right to sell physical 3D prints under the merchant license terms in our Patreon introduction post.

STL resale or sharing is not permitted. Credit to Curations By Kira is required when selling physical prints, and merchants must have an active Ancient Dragon subscription.
