It's election season! I felt like drawing up a sexy little reminder. If you are over 18 (which you should be, if you're here) and live in America, please follow the example of this big-titted fox and go vote! And if you have to leave the house to do so, please wear a mask. ❤ Stay safe out there!

Masks prevent herd immunity from building up, they are detrimental to public health. Also why is there politics in porn?

I'm a gay dude, so this won't work. I'm not voting

Jk, love ya and have voted already

Everyone should feel encouraged to contribute one way or another but if you chose not to as well as not wear a mask, that's your right. Of course, if you go to a private establishment that requires it so then you should abide; if not it's their right not to have you loiter and not serve you as it's yours to not do business there. While strengthening the immune system is always necessary, this is a dangerous time to do that. If you get hit with COVID though and your system doesn't push through then that's an unnecessary and unfortunate loss to yourself as well as to others. Meanwhile, if you do get infected and you refuse to were a mask in public places then you have everyone involuntarily get exposed because of your choices. We can only overcome this crisis by working together and as much as I know that's not gonna happen, we can at least try. It's humanity's goal to survive and use tools to its disposal it's only natural to do so otherwise we'd never survive harsher climates otherwise.

This is the first time in a century that we've decided to go the route of paranoia regarding diseases. The last time was the Spanish flu in 1918, before that it was always the same idea: lockdowns, keep away from others, etc. It was a catastrophe, with dead people by the hundreds of thousands, but people use that as an example of why we shouldn't stop the lockdowns and general paranoia too early. It doesn't matter that we didn't do this for a century and didn't get any problems like this despite the many pandemics that occurred in the mean time. Doctors spent a century teaching people to stop being afraid of diseases, to stop trying to confine themselves and live with the possibility of diseases. If you're in the risk population, that is if you're over 70 and have several other health issues, sure confine yourself, if you're not in the risk population, it is actually detrimental to everyone, let alone yourself, to just lockdown and wear masks when you are healthy. This insanity just showed that people are way too ready to give up their freedoms whenever the media and governments frighten them into a frenzy. https://www.aier.org/article/lockdowns-and-mask-mandates-do-not-lead-to-reduced-covid-transmission-rates-or-deaths-new-study-suggests/

Damn, it sucks that you don't have a brain. Look up any video of different masks presenting droplet spray from coughing or sneezing. News flash, its how Covid spreads. Don't be retarded. Also, nice job posting a non peer reviewed study by an economist on why you shouldn't wear a mask.

TonyHLM

Well, this went off the rails fast :/ Think we got too political here. Let's just keep this the porn that it is rather than a debate in politics.

Well, I'm convinced. A stripper friend of mine is actually doing something similar, haha.

You actually made me sad with your first comment but then you turned it around with this one so THANK YOU

"Herd immunity" as a concept usually refers to vaccinations. We protect the people who can't get vaccinated for some reason by vaccinating everybody else. Not, you know, catching a deadly and possibly scarring disease because you don't want to wear a mask. I don't know how to tell you to care about other people, dude.

pj wolf

GET YO' BOOTY TO THE POLLS.

Verager

Just want to point out you're offended by a strip of cloth and the concept of voting. Also, you're stupid enough about medicine that I feel like I have to tell you to vaccinate your children, if you have any. Even if that's too political for you. And you'd know that if you listened to doctors instead of economists who are paid to write propaganda. Having said that, if you want to die of preventable diseases, please pick something that won't spread to a bunch of people first. Thanks!

French Honey Badger

@pj wolf: Or maybe you don't understand how vaccination works. Heard immunity is about building up immunity against the disease, you can do that either with an artificial virus that got its most dangerous effects removed but can still be identified as the virus, or you can do it with the virus itself. The vaccination is not forthcoming any time soon. Regarding the bad effects of this particular disease, we are barely in a case of bad flu, and the number of dead people from that disease were greatly increased by the stupid political decisions like locking up old at risk people into retirement homes with actual covid-19 patients like they did in New York which has some of the worst restrictions with the some of the worst results.

French Honey Badger

@Verager: yes, I'm offended but the stupidity of people who are told to "listen to the science" and then presented with only half the story at best, and do not look at any other voices because they've been shut down. Apparently, propaganda from the government does not exist, it is only the opposition that writes it, people who disagree with you. It is impossible for the government to have lied or misrepresented or overstepped their boundaries regarding this crisis. No the problem are the dissenting voices. If you care so much about the science then you should know that it's not about the consensus or about the loudest voices or the best paid voices like the ones you only want to hear. It's about actual study and data and I have presented those. Here's another one, from an actual MD if that's all you care about: https://www.aier.org/article/lockdowns-of-young-people-lead-to-more-deaths-from-covid-19/

Spiral

How come you keep proving to be my favorite artist?

TonyHLM

Personally, I think you have a right to believe in your science as we believe in ours. For now, though the message is just clear to vote to contribute your ideas to the choices provided in your ballot, or don't. Also when wearing a mask it's your preference as well as your right to choose to wear one or not in public. But if people are asking you to maintain your distance from them, then just as you believe in your science they have theirs and that's their right as well. Private establishments especially have the right to ask you to wear one, it's their right to not serve you otherwise, and their right to remove you from the premises. I am just for law and order, not gonna force belief on but rather reasoning toward at the least private business and residence. As a retail worker, I know this all too well on enforcement with respect to company mandates. Choose what you will keep in mind where you go expressing it.

French Honey Badger

Okay, first off, it's not "my" science or "your" science, it's science pure and simple, the fact that you think this is a rebuttal is even more worrying than the idea that you just didn't see the whole science on the subject because nobody presented it to you. Also, if it was actually my choice to wear a mask in public or staying at home, or if private establishments were requiring that of their own volition, that would be perfectly fine with me, this is how I want things to be: talk to people, convince them of their position and get convinced by their position, act according to your beliefs. Fine by me. This is not the world we live in though, the governments are telling us to lockdown or wear masks and they put people in jail for not doing it. I am for law and order, but the law and order I'm asking for is not based on the arbitrary whims of a bunch of bureaucrats or elected officials. Being voted by a majority of people does not allow you to take away the rights of the people whether they voted for you or not, or even if they voted at all. We have the governor of New York explicitly targeting jewish communities for not respecting his unconstitutional mandates, that's not law and order, that is tyranny. This is apparently a country of laws not of men and yet it's the whims of men and women in power that tell us how we should live. You can't argue that this is for their protection, first off they are the community least affected by the virus. Second, they made their choice, they are willing to take the risk of gathering together and live rather than locking themselves up in their lonesome where a lot other set of medical issues can arise. The concept of trade offs has been completely ignored throughout this crisis and this is going to cost us far more in lives than the lockdowns or masks ever saved.

TonyHLM

Sometimes things gotta go wrong before they can get right I suppose. Let's see what happens in the future but I've already made my choice and will follow accordingly until otherwise.

French Honey Badger

Okay, so we should not learn the lessons we've already learned dozens of times before, let's completely forget the, English Revolution, American Revolution, French Revolution, communist revolution, fascist and nazi takeovers. Let's completely forget that we created the social democracies on the idea that the rights of the people were inalienable for a reason, i.e. the government did not have a right to take away somebody's rights without a trial with a jury of his peers. Let's just have relearn the lesson yet again, because we didn't have millions of people die because of this idea already.

There's already an absurdly unnecessarily long conversation happening in the comment section of this post, but I will go ahead and ask if I'm the only one who's curious to see what would happen if no one voted for anyone to take that seat. I personally am a believer that if I am given the choice between one evil and another, whether lesser or not, I would rather not choose at all, so let's say no one took that choice and everybody in this country decided not this time. Would the government decide who is granted the position ultimately forcing the rest of us to abide by a choice we didn't make?

Gavin the Black Knight

In my country (we use a preferential voting system, not voting for candidates) if the popular group's representative is not voted for, or has enough votes saying that this representative doesn't suit the voters will, then their representatives aren't allowed to run again and they must restack the list of people you can vote for. Needless to say it's a little-known clause and thus hasn't ever happened (I think) I don't know if such a thing exists for the U.S cause it's a different voting system.

Aromez

If I have to choose between one evil and another, I'd rather not choose at all.

pj wolf

Dude. My mom caught this disease. It laid her out. It fucked her up. This is not just a "bad flu," because bad flu does not cause this level of spread, this level of death. You do not need to worry about scarring in your lungs after a bout with the flu. The reasons masks are such an important tool until a vaccine arrives is because there are people who do not know they're infected because the symptoms do not show for a bit, if at all. That person may be fine, but while they're shedding the virus they may spread it to someone who it messes up. As an example, my sister caught the virus first and gave it to my mom. She did not require hospitalization. My mother did. Hospitals do not run out of bed space from a bad flu. To that end, if we do take your pet theory of herd immunity, that would require something to the effect of 80% of the population of the United States to get the virus and survive it. The virus has a death rate of about 3%. In raw numbers, in a population of 328.2 million people, 262.56 million people would have to get the virus. And of those people infected, over SEVEN MILLION people would die. Nearly eight million people would die. Just so you wouldn't have to wear a mask. I don't know how to tell you to care about other people.

French Honey Badger

Yes, actually, a bad flu does create this level of spread, this level of death, it even causes pulmonary scarring. So no, this is not new, and this is not exceptional for a disease like this. The fact that your mom was hit hard by this disease this time does not make a difference for flus in general. Regarding, the wearing of mask, your mom should have worn the mask, your sister didn't need to, even according to the WHO: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/question-and-answers-hub/q-a-detail/q-a-on-covid-19-and-masks Regarding hospitals: they did NOT run out of bed space during this crisis whatsoever, it never even came close to it. There were tons of field "hospitals" that were created for the crisis and none of them ever saw ANYTHING, and unless you are able to rerun the experiment in the same conditions without any kind of lockdowns, you have no reason to believe that they would have otherwise. So stop bullshitting. Regarding her immunity, no it does not require 80%, at best tit requires 60% to 70%, so already your numbers are exaggerated. Not only that, but no, the number of people that would die is not nearly that much even towards reaching herd immunity, why? Because the people who are actually at risk, would want to wear mask and actually avoid contact with people that are at risk, which is more than enough a protection for them.It absolutely does not require the whole population to lock themselves up or wear masks, on the contrary. Also, 94% of the people who are dying or are getting hospitalized for it are overwhelmingly old and have several co-morbidities weakening their immune system, which would massively reduce the number of dead people in your half-assed calculation. Finally, what you do isn't caring about other people, what you do is take a tiny part of what part of life is (getting sick from one specific virus), massively exaggerating the consequences and problems that arise from it, and undervaluing EVERYTHING ELSE (like cancer treatment, being able to produce food, to work, to enjoy life in general, etc.) around it, this result in a completely distorted picture of the trade offs that are actually involved in this crisis. You are free to make that calculation for yourself and act accordingly, you overstep your boundaries when you want to impose your tradeoffs on other people via government. Yes, I do care about people, I care about all aspects of their health, not just the ones related to this one virus, I also care about everything else besides their health, their capacity to make choices for themselves, their capacity to associate with other people the way they want it. It is amazing to me that I'm supposedly the one on the wrong side of history when the same people who imposed those horrific lockdowns had no problem whatsoever letting people go demonstrate in tight groups for hours on end for black lives matter. The same medical staff urging people to stay home and wear masks, were embracing the demonstration and yet I'm supposed to be the crazy one around here. Oh boy, a guy who wants to make a living by re-opening his barbershop where 6 people might be together at any one time is KILLING GRANDMA, but the hundreds of rioters packed together like sardines, breaking shit up, and attacking peaceful citizens they are heroes and in no way responsible for spreading the deadly diseases. The virus has a very political bent somehow.

pj wolf

Virus don't care about politics. The virus doesn't see borders. It just wants to spread. Alright, this is the last post I'm going to make because clearly you have no interest in anything other than reasons why nobody should wear masks. Apparently the world would just be better served if everybody caught every disease ever, so we can all build up immunity. And the people who die, well, clearly they had other factors preventing them from surviving, so we can't let ourselves worry about them, no use trying to protect as many people as we can. First, a mea culpa. Your figures on herd immunity are more accurate: 60-70% of a population would be sufficient for immunity. Never mind that we have no idea if immunity is permanent (we don't, look it up), or if there have been cases where people have caught Covid-19, survived, then caught it again (and there have been at least a few). Also, with regard to the virus' death rate, I've seen figures ranging from 1-3%. So let's be generous and take the low end. 60% of the population of the United States would need to catch the virus and survive. So that's approximately 196.92 million people. On the low end, taking the virus's death rate, that'd be about almost two million people. Two million people would basically have to be sacrificed so that you don't have to wear a mask and you can go about your day without being asked to wear one, for other people. Because here's something that you still didn't take into account: Asymptomatic transmission, or the virus being transmitted from people who don't show symptoms. And that is the primary reason why people should wear masks: You may not have any idea that you're shedding virus, or the symptoms you have are mild. Here's the thing about the so-called political bent you suspect the virus of having: All them protests about BLM? A grand majority of the people in those protests -- though in close quarters sometimes -- wore masks. The protests were OUTSIDE. These are not ideal virus spreading conditions, which is why the news didn't report clusters of virus popping up from the protests, because there were none. I've never heard of a flu causing this much widespread death, but at the same time we have a flu vaccine. We don't with Covid. And finally, lockdowns were never meant to last forever. The choice isn't between fighting the virus and starving it of transmission vectors and having an economy. It never was. The lockdown measures ease when the virus rates go down and the hospitals are less at capacity. Millions of people are out of work RIGHT NOW because the economy went into the tank because of the virus, and other people are sinking into poverty because relief efforts were allowed to lapse. It didn't have to be this way. But it is now, and voting is one way that we can start to correct the mess we're in.

French Honey Badger

No shit viruses don't care about politics?! Do you mean the media and politicians lied about the virus maybe?! Apparently, you're completely missing the point! You're listening to people who constantly lie about their agenda and they blatantly lie about the risks of the virus by showing their complete disregard for them when it comes to political demonstration and you just continue to trust them blindly! And you continue to miss the point and ignore half of what I'm saying just to try to score browny points. Did I say nobody should wear masks or try to keep away from people? No! Not at all! I say that people that are not at risks to suffer from the disease should NOT BE FORCED to wear a mask and be locked down! Nobody should be forced to do this unless they were actually judged and tried for committing an actual crime. But if you want to wear a mask or if you're in a population at risk, please do wear your mask! Don't force everyone! And again that's not even me saying that it's the World Health Organization! "Never mind that we have no idea if immunity is permanent" if the immunity is not permanent then a vaccine would NOT solve the problem. So what do we do when the vaccine come and immunity is not permanent? Do we continue with this charade?! Do we lockdown for the rest of existence?! Do we just end life as it was because of ONE virus out of HUNDREDS of other pandemics that occurred in the past?! And again with your exaggerated numbers. You're using inflated death figures, inflated by stupid political decisions WHICH PUT INFECTED PEOPLE TOGETHER WITH AT RISK PEOPLE IN NURSING HOMES and then extrapolate that to the whole population. You half-assed math does not add up. Also asymptomatic people are less likely to transmit the virus than people who have symptoms, again according to the WHO. And yes your sister spread it to your mom, again anecdotal evidence is not data. No, not everyone in those protests wore masks, not even close, and no, just because you don't have a ceiling does not make the virus spread so difficult that those close quarter protests wouldn't spread it. Apparently, the virus can spread so much better in stores while wearing masks and running at quarter capacity with people keeping apart in the store, but a demonstration with people elbow to elbow while wearing mask is somehow not spreading the virus at all just because there's no ceiling. One of this statement is complete bullshit! If the virus is so bad and spread so wildly, then being outside shouldn't change a fucking thing because 99% of all the viral particles are going to stay close to the people, not fly off into space! "I've never heard of a flu causing this much widespread death, but at the same time we have a flu vaccine. We don't with Covid." Probably because the media has never talked about it is much, probably because IT'S THE FIRST TIME IN A CENTURY THAT WE HAVE REACTED LIKE THIS! What happened last time we did widespread lockdowns? Oh yes, it was called the Spanish Flu, it was ALSO a very deadly disease! What happened between those two events? Woodstock during a pandemic, the Hong Kong flu! You interpret the number of cases and deaths completely independently of how people actually behave. Is it possible that maybe the insane actions that we are taking today (like putting old infected people into nursing home with other at risk old people) might be the reason the flu is so bad? Why is it that countries that had much stricter lockdowns and mask wearing are getting hurt by this disease far more than countries that were much less restrictive? Sweden or South Dakota y'know. I'm not saying they avoided death altogether, but yes, their results are far much better than highly restrictive states like New York! Lockdowns were meant to last TWO weeks not more, and yet they extended them for MONTHS! And the same people who pushed that bullshit are pushing it to continue all the way into August 2021! They've constantly switched the narrative to justify uncalled for draconian measures every step of the way! Instead of being the number of dead people every week as a reason not to end lockdowns, they switch to "large number of cases" when the cases just kept falling, they said they would stop lockdowns when there are no more cases, while increasing testing which would obviously inflate the number of cases without increasing the number of deaths! The virus is NOT responsible for the people being out of work IT'S THE GOVERNMENT POLICIES THAT PUT THOSE PEOPLE OUT OF WORK! The virus didn't do any of this, and if the government hadn't "freaked out" (or just wanted to exercise power) about it they would not have lost their jobs! Again, the only time where we did this stupid policy was a century ago and the result were catastrophic! Maybe, just maybe, there is a lesson, when you try something over and over again and it hurts every time, maybe the reason it hurts is not because we didn't do enough, but because we did it in the first place. Voting will change nothing in that regard.

French Honey Badger

Your whole post is just a bad case of Post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy: 1) In the previous flu seasons, we didn't take any drastic measures, there were very few deaths, therefore the flu didn't require drastic measures. 2) In the current pandemic, we took drastic measures forced people out of work, there were a lot of deaths, therefore those measures were required. You hold these two statements in your head and believe they prove something. They don't, you're just fooling yourself.

Chris

Thats an excellent question
