The expression I scribbled for Joe in the center right panel in the thumbnail perfectly conveyed the expression I wanted for him, but it was difficult to translate that to a completed page. Sometimes the thumbnail just nails it!

The look of “hunger peeking through shame” on Joe’s face 👌 Also the contrast between Travis’s expression earlier, when he says “What *about* me?” and you can see in his eyes how hurt he is by what Joe said, and THIS adorable “heart fluttering, hopeful, much less tired” face - I’m so excited to see my boys happy, and I’m so relieved for Travis. They both really need this.
