If you already have the files, here is all the INFO:

This melted skull headphone holder oozes creepy-cool vibes, keeping your gear stylishly spooky and organizedIncluded with Melted Skull:💀Melted skull with Thinner drip for realistic look💀Melted skull with Thicker drip for solid headphone holder version

Some extra info about this print:💀To minimize the amount of supports and printing time needed, keep the orientation of the Skull as it's loaded in the slicer (as shown in the sliced image example in the folder too)

💀To minimize the amount of layer lines, keep the orientation of the Base too.

💀Tested at 100% to 50%

💀The 100% scaled version is suitable as a headphone holder display.

💀If you try to scale it larger, we recommend manually adding some supports to the thin areas of the Skull.

💀If you scale the base or the skull, DON'T FORGET to scale both of them with the same %, so they will fit well together.

💀TO ACHIEVE A NICE SHINY SMOOTH LOOK: try to use ABS instead of PLA filament, and you can apply acetone with a brush or using "acetone vapor bath" to give a smooth glossy look.

Just printed the melting skull, I dig it. But going to fool around with settings, the "drips" that it rests on I found to break easy. Working on finding a way to strengthen them.

SEREV3d

Thank you, yes it's definitely not the easiest print, we had to experiment with the orientation and also while sculpting to keep a good balance between "creativity and functionality", first we were thinking to make the drips and the whole base much thicker and sturdier, but then it would have lost the effect of the skull "floating" in the air! Let us know how it goes and if you need any help or suggestion! You can try to add 3 walls and slow down the the print a bit, that would make it a bit more stronger to hold. If you mean that after printing the drips of the skull stand are a bit too fragile, then in the upcoming days we might add a "Melting Skull V2" to the folder, with maybe two times thicker drips, like that they would not break too easily.

Yes, sorry after print. I have one going now with 3 walls. I really live this print. Want to make sure it holds up well in shipping. Can't wait to see what else you folks cook up. Love the files so far.

We updated the Melting Skull folder with a much sturdier and stronger version, we didn't have time to test print this one out yet, but I'm very confident that this one will handle much more rough handling than the first version, and in the end it still looks very much like it's floating in the air! I think if you plan to ship it, this thicker version will hold up just fine, if you use some bubble wrap and foam to protect it in a box. Let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions, or even some fun new design requests for next month, we will definitely add it to our to-do list! Happy printing! - Henrik from SEREV3d
