If you already have the files, here is all the INFO:

This little creature is a literal sea-horse, with 4 articulated legs! It's the first release from our new collection "Mytho-critters", we will release 1-2 new unique creatures every month, inspired and loosely based on mythological animals and creatures from folk tales:)

Versions provided: static and articulated version in stl, and 3mf formats with print settings (for Bambu and Orca slicer), 12mm craft eye versions, multicolor with 3 colors, and a 3mf batch version of 17 articulated Seahorse.----------------------------

Print difficulty level: BeginnerPrint size: Small, (60-70mm)Printing time: 1h20mRecommended print settings: (If you use Bambu or Orca slicer, all the print settings are automatically loaded in each version’s 3mf files)

-Layer height: 0.16mm

-Wall loops: 3

-Infill: 10%, Gyroid

-Supports: No supports needed for the articulated version. For the static version: auto tree supports, TopZ distance 0.25mm, BottomZ distance 0.16mm, the slicer will add some supports under the belly part, like on the picture below:

-------------------------------For the multicolor articulated version we have set up a 3mf file where you can print the seahorses in a bigger batch in a most cost-efficient way. For example:

If you print one in multicolor it will be done in about 12 hours, 187g filament, around $3.75 in costs.

If you print 17 in multicolor it will be done in about 1 day 10h, 553g filament, around $11 in costs.

So basically with the batch version it will take 3 times longer and cost 3 times more, but you'll end up with 17 times as many seahorses than if you only print one:)

----------------------------------------------

“STEAL THEIR LOOK!” instructions:

Version1 - Multicolor AMS, no craft eye

Filaments: Bambu PLA Matte filamentsUse the pla matte white, black and marine blue (or dark blue) for your AMS.If you like the result and you want to print more, we recommend to print the batch of 17 version provided in the folder.

Painting & Post-processing steps:

Step1: Priming: Base Coat

Adding craft eyes: use a small drop of superglue and insert the eyes you prefer into the sockets.

I'm only a free membership at the moment and just joined recently to take a look at your files to see if a paid subscription is right for my business. An I have to say this is the most descriptive and helpful details in a post I've seen thus far. The point I'm trying to make is I love your models and how much attention to detail you provide in the model and descriptions. Keep up the great work!

SEREV3d

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it a lot! We are trying to give value not just with the designs and files, but also with sharing important info and printing tips with our members:) Especially since we know that a lot of people might have just started this hobby recently, so some of these info and all the different versions of the models might be extremely useful for a lot of new members!

TrapJaw Dad

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this one! Can’t wait to start tonight.

carrie roehrig

didnt change the size but the legs do not want to position to stand. when i tried it broke the top of the leg.

SEREV3d

Hi, thank you for the feedback! Do you mean the articulated version of the Seahorse? We'll look into it, since we tried to make this one as small as possible, we might have to make some adjustments, either making the legs a bit more sturdier, or to increase the size overall. Did you try to print it with matte PLA, or silk?

SEREV3d

We'll get back to you in about a day, and let you know once we made some adjustments so it's going to be easier to print and won't be as fragile!

carrie roehrig

Standard rainbow pla. Run thru a PIS. It's like the opening needs to be larger so the top of the leg can fully stand.

SEREV3d

I think I know exactly what you mean, with matte pla the top part was already a little snug at turning the legs, so even a slight fraction of a mm of sinking with silk pla might make it too tight to turn. We'll make some tiny adjustments on the design, test-print them with slk pla too, to make sure it works perfectly, and by tomorrow we'll update the files!:) Thanks for the notice again!

SEREV3d

Sorry for the delay, we will update the folder with all the multicolor versions and the correct articulated version by the morning!:)

SEREV3d

The articulated versions are updated, just finished the tests too, they should work perfectly now!:) You can find all the versions (craft eye, no craft eye, multicolor) in the download folder) :)

SEREV3d

The updated articulated versions are done!:) (and all the multicolor ones too)

Lura Jackson

I puchased the seahorse to see if I would enjoy the Patreon and I am having the same issue the seahorse legs will not allow it to stand, if you try to wiggle them they break. Can you please fix this model an advise? Thanks

Lura Jackson

If the Seahorse file was fixed, the legs are still an issue. Thanks
