If you already have the files, here is all the INFO:

A few years ago I had a t-shirt with a cute avocado couple on it, and I thought "what if we make this idea come alive, and make them into 3d printable keychains?". I think this cute avocado couple will make a perfect Valentine's gift, we placed a hidden magnet socket inside the heart part for each avocados, and in the 3mf file the settings are made to pause the print in the right time, so you can place the 8mm diameter magnets inside the socket, so by the end of the print the magnets stay inside the hearts of the avocados!:)Like this they can attach to each other (or you can attach them on the fridge)

-One full piece version and multicolor, (AMS with 4 colors)

-Multi Part versions (like this you can use any combinations and colors of filaments without the need of multicolor printing)We added a few pins to this model as well, which helps at the assembly and to snap the parts together:

-Batch version (for the Multicolor Keychains, for people who want to print big quantities and for our Authorized Sellers, so like this they can print it the most cost-effective way)In this version you can print Small 55% scaled avocados, with automatic print pause to place 8mm x 2mm magnets inside. The batch version has 104 avocados on a single plate.A quick comparison: To print 2 avocados, it's around 10 hours and around $3 in filament, to print the 104 avocados it's about 48 hours and $17 in filament.

We always appreciate the feedbacks, let us know which versions you find the most useful, which are the ones you prefer the most! It helps us to determine how to prepare our future designs too, so they can become the most useful to you!:)

-----------------------------------Print difficulty level: Beginner to Intermediate

Recommended print settings: (If you use Bambu or Orca slicer, all the print settings are automatically loaded in each version’s 3mf files)

-Layer height: 0.2mm (at the multiple parts version you can set the layer height to 0.1mm to the small parts such as the eyes, cheeks, mouth, heart)

-Wall loops: 3

-Infill: 8%, Gyroid

-Supports: No supports needed!:)

“STEAL THEIR LOOK!” instructions (resources, filaments and painting recommendations)

Version - Multi part version on separate plates

Printer: Bambu P1S

Filaments: Bambu PLA Matte filaments

TRYMAG Refrigerator Magnets 8x2mm

Instructions: Step1: Print each part on the plates from the included 3mf file (multi part on separate plates), and choose which colors of filaments you want to print it with. (if you want, you can use a tiny bit of white paint or acrylic marker for adding some sparkle in their eyes)IMPORTANT PART: when you reach to the part of printing the hearts, make sure that at the slicer you set up the print to pause (right click on the layer slider and press on "add pause"), so you can place the magnets inside the socket. (if you load the 3mf file in Bambu, it already has the pause set up at the last layer before the socket gets closed, but it's always a good idea to double-check it)Step2: Assemble the parts, if you want, you can use a little drop of superglue to make them stay together well:)

Looking forward to printing this one tomorrow night

Derek

quick question, if I scale these down to 50% does that affect the opening of the magnet also? I want to print them for an event coming up on Saturday and I won't make it on time on the current size. I only have 1 printer

SEREV3d

If you scaled them to 50%, then most likely the 8mm magnet space will shrink to about 50% too, making it 4mm, which I didn't look up if there's available magnets that size on amazon. BUT, we can come up with some nice solutions! If you want to print them that small, I definitely recommend that you use the "In one piece" versions, since the one in parts might be way too small to print well, and the tiny pins could break off easily when you'd put them together. If you can confirm that let's say you want me to modify the 3mf file for the "Avocado Couple Keychain-in one piece-MULTICOLOR" , then I can prepare a file for you which has 50% scale, and I'll add a negative part in the inside to fit an 8mm x 2mm size magnet. In the 3mf I'll have the pause added, so the print stops for you to place the magnet in, and then continue the print, so like this the magnet will be sealed and hidden inside the Avocado keychain. And then, i'll just attach this updated file under the Current Download Links Board, also I can send you a direct message when it's done (probably in the upcoming 4-5 hours I'll update it)

Derek

That would be amazing thank you ! It can be for tomorrow or later if you have to, I don't want to mess up any flow you may have for future designs. One day I'll convince the Mrs to let me have another printer

SEREV3d

Even if you invest into a Bambu A1 mini (my wife is currently printing on it!), it's quite cheap and you would still be able to print quite a lot of small designs on one plate. Also, since we got the A1 mini, it made me realize how much smaller some prints can be made, while still keeping a lot of nice details...so be prepared for quite a few more small designs, we'll definitely release more and more of them. We'll put out the Frost Imp articulated keychains tomorrow, they are super tiny, around 4.4cm in total, but the details on it pop so well with 0.08mm layer height, and it's about a 50 minute print! :) I'll try to make the update for the smaller Avocado Keychains tonight, if you'll look for it on the Current Download Links Board tomorrow morning, the added update will be there for sure!

Derek

Yeah that was my idea, my p1s with 2 ams handles the more detail color items and then A1 mini for the quirky fun stuff like keychains and fidget toys. Makes perfect sense

SEREV3d

I placed an update to the Current Download Links Board, you can find it if you scroll all the way down to the Avocado Couple section: https://www.patreon.com/posts/serev3d-current-114980916 It's a Small 55% scaled version, with automatic print pause to place 8mm x 2mm magnets inside. And I added a batch version to the 3mf, with 104 avocados on a single plate. To print 2 avocados, it's around 10 hours and around $3 in filament, to print the 104 avocados it's about 48 hours and $17 in filament.

Derek

is there any way that I can get it with just the pair. I tried opening the file and I guess since it has both the pair and the entire plate, my Mac mini doesn't like it and freezes up every time.
