If you already have the files, here is all the INFO:

Did you know? Moths are attracted to light sources, including the moon.Moths navigate by using the moon as a fixed point of reference, much like how humans use stars to stay on course. Some believes that the Lunar moth signifies rebirth and new beginnings and returning to the light within.🌙Movable head and articulated wings🌙Keychain and backpack buddy version🌙Comes in two different versions (with eyes or 6mm craft eyes)🌙Stl and multicolor 3mf🌙Print in place, NO supports needed!

Print difficulty level: BeginnerPrint time:Regular: 1h20mMulticolor: 3h09m

Recommended print settings: (If you use Bambu or Orca slicer, all the print settings are automatically loaded in each version’s 3mf files)

- Layer height: 0.1mm ( this small layer height is recommended for this small print)- Wall loops: 3- Infill: 7%, Gyroid- Supports: No supports needed

Our Lunar Moth is a pretty unique design, since most flexi keychains on the market have a flat back for the ease of printing, and to not require supports... it's always a bit disappointing to see the flat back when we take them in our hands. So we came up with a solution, to actually include the back part of the design, it prints on the same plate, and at the end you can just use the two little pins to snap the front and the back together, and you have a cute little keychain character with a full body!We also included the little pins on a separate plate, in case if you need to upscale or downscale it by 1-2% to fit better based on your printer's thresholds. Also, it's a good idea to use some super glue to completely seal the back part.

how much could you reduce this file by, do you think?

SEREV3d

We always try to make the default 100% scale versions as small as possible for most people's machine to be able to successfully print it (usually we test them on a bambu A1mini and on a P1S), the Lunar Moth at a 100% scale is around 5cm tall (around 2 inches) and this version fits the 6mm glass eyes as well. As a "rule of thumbs" I would say if you want to downscale this design by 75-80%, the connectors should still hold well if you print it with 0.1mm layer height, and the tiny pins will be still possible to insert well (if you also downscale those together with the whole model) But overall the 100% scale is the recommended size!:) If you print it smaller, let me know how it goes and show us your results! :)

Do you know if you'll be making a version without the hanger on top? I love this design!

SEREV3d

Hi Chanda! If you want, you can right-click on the design, hover over the option to "Split", then click on "split to objects", then you can just click on the little hanger part, delete it and print the moth without it! :) Let me know if you need any visual help with it, on Discord I can even send you some screenshots if you are stuck! :)

Chanda Stafford

That worked PERFECTLY! Thank you so much!

Perfection! I just joined today and this was my first print from your collection. I am so impressed how well this is done and it joins together seamlessly! I can't wait to try more designs - thank you!

SEREV3d

Thank you so much! :) We do experiment a lot until we find the perfect threshold and sizes for a lot of our designs! And usually even if something "goes wrong" at printing, we try our best to help out everyone to successfully print them 😁
