Cute, spooky, magnetic, and endlessly customizable, these little ghosts are going to be the star of your shelves and vendor markets this Halloween.

Magnetic Ghosts – fill them with iron powder and they’ll attract anything magnetic! (make sure to fill them all the way until they are full, like that the magnets stick better to them)

how do you add the iron powder

We designed the ghosts to be completely hollow, so you can pour the iron powder from their underside, and then plug it with the included mini 3d printed plug. We also included a printable funnel, which can help to fill the powder easier into the ghosts. You can see at 00:19 sec in the video how the iron powder is being poured in the ghost.

i feel like there is unnecessary purge on the signs, like its purging without a color change a couple times before it gets to the color change. we are not printing face down correct?

Hi Nicole! Yes there's some extra purge because the tower still have to follow the height of the overall print's height, before the black filament gets used on the last few layers. I wish by now someone has invented a proper multicolor printer, with multiple print heads, so we wouldn't have to deal with all that extra waste....😔 To print it faced down with the letters is actually not a bad idea, and it would use slightly less waste, the only difference is that the text would be on the exact same flat surface as the rest of the sign, it wouldn't have that fun popping out effect of the text. BUT, there is actually another solution you can try! Where basically no filament gets wasted: Print the sign in one single color, pause the print when it gets to the first layer of the texts, and swap your filament spool out (or assign the filament on another ams unit), and continue the print. Like that no filament would get purged or wasted.😊 For the next Props Addon for the Ghosts (it will be out next week), I'll try to include a sign facing down as a new option, so you can choose to print that as well! The next addon will have a bunch of extra fun stuff, a new little baseball cap, crown, heart balloon, baby ghost and baby bat etc. 😊

Oh it's funny you mentioned the dog and cat, because by the end of this month we will also release the first members of our Wiggly Pets collection. There will be a Wiggly Wild Dog and Wiggly Wild Cat, and they will also come with a magnetic versions, so they will also be able to wear all kinds of little hats (like the witch hat, cowboy hat etc.), and they will be able to hold things in their mouth, like a fish for the cat, bone for the dog, also, just now I got the idea to design little babies for them, which they can carry around their mouth too 😊 Apart from this idea, i think in one of the Addon Packs for the Ghosts we might also include a cute little ghost dog and ghost cat!

I haven't had the luck to try a dual head printer yet, but that might actually be the solution for these kind of 2 color prints! Because then one head would print the first layers of the sign, and then the 2nd head would continue to effortlessly print the texts on top, not stopping the print, no purge, no waste! 😊 But you are correct, wasting is awful and we are trying to optimize the designs more and more, to not create too much waste. Last year when we started out with Serev3D, a lot of our first designs needed extra supports under them, or the multicolor took too long or too much material to finish...but by now we are slowly polishing every single new design to be the most ecological, easy and fun to print, while keeping the nice detailed looks and quality of the designs! We don't want to go "overboard" with simplifying too much though....otherwise the designs would just turn out to be an assembly of basic simple shapes and blobs.....which the 3d printing community already have millions of those everywhere 😅

Hi Melynda, oh I think when we updated the Welcome Pack a few months ago, we added a few new ones and removed some older designs, and the Serev3D Ghosts were removed from the welcome pack. But....since Halloween is actually approaching (even faster than we could expect), we'll place the download link back to the Ghosts!
