Design Details

Vecna Helmet (Adult size at 100% scale fits medium sized printers) → ~16h15m print time(Most helmets of this size take around 20–29h to finish with default print settings. With our optimized settings & manual support placement in the 3mf file, you save 4+ hours AND filament!)

Vecna Mask → ~6h14m print time (it's a prefect choice if you want to wear it with a hoodie, or a cape, and takes much less time to print!)

We prepared each model with manual supports in the 3MF file, giving you a smoother finish, faster print and less waste compared to auto supports.

We included a Helmet Size Chart as well in the download, so you can measure your head circumference, and scale the helmet to the size you need before printing

💡 Tip: Let us know if you want us to prepare some in-depth manual support tutorials and other tricks for faster prints, we’ll definitely create more helpful guides if you all need it!

🎨 Painting Recommendation

We suggest printing in black filament so the deep recesses stay naturally shadowed. Then:

1 : Use a spray paint in the main color (for example Rust-Oleum Dark Cherry) over the large uniform surfaces. Large cans make this fast and cost-effective.

2: For raised textures, ridges, top-most areas: use brush-on acrylics or smaller jars of acrylic paint. (for example Fantastory Acrylic Paint Set 24 Classic Colors ) Dry brushing works well: wipe most paint off your brush (until it feels almost dry), then gently brush the high parts so they catch the pigment.

3: Keep crevices black / dark so you have natural shadows. (if you get some paint in the crevices, just simply wipe those parts off with a cloth)

4: A final gloss clear coat helps tie everything together and makes the helmet shiny. (for example Rust-Oleum Gloss Clear Paint )

5: For the mesh eyes / nose interior, keep them black (either leave filament black or use black paint) so it looks deep and more "spooky"

Here's a really good example video from Emily Schmidt, award winning cosplay creator, of how to easily give realistic textures and finishing touches to a helmet printed in black filament : Video - Creating a Realistic Brushed Metal Effect

👉 Alternatively (a bit less work) , print the helmet in red filament and only darken the mesh eye/nose areas. Vecna’s sculpted surface already does most of the shading work for you!
