Wow, he's got a great tone quality diversity in his singing. Super connected to the text too. Beautiful, thanks for this one Bennett!

I wasn't getting "the fray" exactly, but I do understand exactly what you mean. It sounds like SOMETHING from like, early 2000s to me specifically in the chorus. What I think the closest is for me, emotionally, is "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day. A powerful song if you haven't heard it, though I'm sure you have it was playing on the radio 24/7 when it came out.

Ahhh!!! So glad I fixed my membership issue today so I could see this 😄

Woodz' life is a story that if I didn't know was true, I wouldn't believe. And the history of his song Drowning is also unbelievable but true. Drowning was released in April 2023. In January 2024 he entered mandatory enlistment, in October 2024 there was a special Armed Forces Day episode of Immortal Songs. Woodz sang Drowning on stage in militarty uniform after a long and tiring day, and I think he was also feeling sick. Therefore his performance was extra emotional, and even though it was cut from the episode, it was uploaded to youtube. It went viral, entered the Melon Chart at #951, climbed steadily, entered Top10 list in January 2015, finally hit #1 in May, over 2 years since release. Drowning has been in Top10 for 50 consecutive weeks as of last week. Breaking the previous record of 49 weeks by NewJeans' Hybe Boy. What I admire most about him is his work ethics, his tenacity, and his opinion that all the songs on an album have to be worthy of being a title track. So far I haven't heard a song from him that I didn't enjoy. Woodz has an active part in writing and producing his own songs, which is also a huge plus. He has uploaded quite a few live performances, unfortunately only a few of those have subtitles. And he has done several live performances on different shows, but here's his official playlist link: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLr04w22Q1DLau4QrJ4-gq0TdA-G7CN1t7&si=yL8Qs9wgQXVAztNp I would recommend either Accident or Chaser next I think. Or Lullaby.

I love this song sooooo much!!!! when I first heard it i had this song alone on repeat for no joke a week at least 4 hours a day. I thank han from stray kids for randomly recommending woodz on bubble (stay&skz fan platform) that led me to this song, it's honestly top 5 of all songs for me at this point

I would absolutely LOVE to see you react to more of his songs. Woodz is my favourite solo artist and he has so many vocally interesting songs! My favourites are Amnesia and Hijack <3

Han once sang a small part of Drowning in Skz Talker and ever since I heard that I've been hoping for a full cover 🙃 probably not going to happen, but. Never say never, right? 😀

I don’t think he’s ever made a bad song. His tone and just honesty that comes across in his vocals—wow. Maybe because it harkens back to music I grew up on, but I can listen to it forever. (He’s also good friends with a lot of amazing people in other groups that make a lot of sense if you think about it because of how they create is similar)
