2026-09-06 23:00 The amazing Digital circus is this shows usual pair. Just because they’re both indie, started in YouTube shows. But that one isn’t a musical .there is one song.

One idea for the future of sinful Saturdays, there are 9 helluva boss shorts that are out, each about 5 minutes or so, if you have any interest in reacting to those!!

Alissa Schell

YES, I'd love to see Tim react to the amazing digital circus. Less musical overall than Hazbin and Helluva but still an AMAZING show!!

Chiara

Lucifer taking his capture so unseriously remind me of Stolas doing the same thing with Striker when he kidnapped him in Western Energy

Delunatic

•I love the concept of Sir Pentious, a "reformed Sinner" giving councel to the distressed Holy leader. 🐍=>😇 •🎶Brighter🎶 really shows that Vox not only has no originality of his own (always took on the outfit/gimmick of his victims when he took their place) but he's also never satisfied. He just couldn't stop killing his way higher up the food chain (his lapel pin went from a little fish as a weatherman to a shark as the "video cult leader") •Rooster was a background character that showed in every episode (his only other speaking role that I can remember is the therapy scene where Husk just called him stupid in a variety of creative ways) ☆As far as what to do after this: I agree that Helluva Boss shorts would be fun! As well as their Pilot and "Mission: Zero" (the Pilot was reimagined when they brought it to the Amazon platform) ☆ a deep dive into other works of the actors' (from both shows) sounds fun too 🥳

chemsed

This show revived my in interest in musical theater, so I would like to check on the actors other works in the next Sinful Saturdays.

Delunatic

"Am I in danger right now?👁👁" 🤣🤣🤣

Chiara

Yes! And there is also a behind the scene of "When I see him"

Lucille Waters

I don't like that that this is the sentiment a lot of fans took about Vox originality from the show. Because Vox CAN be original if he wants to. Brighter, Stayed gone, Once we get up there... there are lot of original songs from him in the show. It's just that he also knows how to use others and their resources to his advantage. It's like they follow Alastors propaganda xD

Delunatic

He can be original, he's just lazy/taking shortcuts 🤷‍♀️

Lucille Waters

Maybe you could do the rest of the song reactions (and some covers) for now for sinful saturdays, since there are still a lot open! And pleeease use the real life footage of the actors recording the songs if there is one. That would be so cool! :)

Rinnzu Rosendale

In regards to that comment about the dance, Tim. . . The Devils Tango = Sex. 😂

Kimmy Grimm

I love this episode! These songs are just so good! I just love how Alastor is constantly getting to Vox. You are going to be blown away by the season finale. I can't wait for you to see it. You can continue analyzing the other songs in "Hazbin Hotel" and "Helluva Boss" as well as looking into the actors. You can also do covers of these songs.

Shinigamiinochi

Not only do I think Alastor did not start the ball rolling in Vox's development towards this kind of egomaniacal maniac, I think he saw it coming even back then and that's why he was so harsh. If you really pay attention to Al in that scene, his smile goes from completely relaxed and at ease to fading as Vox pitches to him. As perceptive as Al is about people, I think he knew Vox is the kind of person who will never share power and in the end, will just use Al since at that point in time, Al was at the top of the Overlord food chain and Vox was only starting to climb. From Brighter, we see that Vox doesn't just kill to steal the success of others, he also killed his producers because he got all he needed from them. I'm super excited for your reaction to the finale. It's probably my second favorite episode of the entire series.

Fun fact: in an interview, Alex Brightnan (Pentious) said he could t get through singing ‘Live to Live’ the first time because when he reached the callback to ‘It Starts with Sorry’ he started crying. I’m just going to assume Alex is a giant cinnamon roll like Pentious. As for ideas after this, you could look at some fan-made music. Since there was a long time between the pilot and actual show, a lot of fans went exploring and building upon what little there was to create comics and record songs. For example, ‘One Hell of a Team’ by AmaLee or ‘Alastor’s Game’ by NateWantstoBattle. Interesting because these songs are good but also because some of them went in directions the show didn’t; ‘One Hell of a Team’ for example, looks at a possible Alastor/Charlie romance.

Shinigamiinochi

Concerning Sinful Saturdays, maybe you could react to the supplemental songs like Alastor's recap and fan songs? There are some truly incredible ones out there from Black Gryph0n and fabvl's 'Can't Be Saved'. Caleb Hyles also has some amazing covers of fan songs and metal covers of songs like Stayed Gone. I'd also love if you reacted to Hazbin Hotel Abridged. While it is a parody series, there are actually some really good original songs in it (especially Old News)

Elena plionis

Last thought: in ‘Brighter’ it seems to me that Christian is singing in the lower part of his register (am I using that word right?) which struck me as odd. Like it makes it more effortful to sing. But my brother sucked out all of the musical talent from the gene pool before I came along so I could be completely off point.

Shinigamiinochi

I just love that he completely dismisses Vox but the second he sees Alastor, he engages like his beef with Al makes him a threat while being captured by Vox is not even a minor inconvenience to him. I'd also love to know why Lucifer assumes that Alastor told Vox he can't harm sinners like that's information Al had

Delunatic

THE FAN SONGS!!! YES!!! Addict, Upside Down, Ringleader, In my Sights, Royal Flush, Let's see a smile, Insane, etc... SO MANY GOOD CHOICES!!!

Delunatic

Alastor probably also caught on that Vox was looking for more than just a business "partner" and his Ace ass wanted NONE of that. He shot down the choice to be used in either way, in the clearest and cruelest way possible.

Cherucha Idc

I mean Live to Live is my personal favorite song from this season(Fight me!) but its actually one of the less popular songs from this season sadly from a general audience view. Still, I adore it; the string section is just *Chef kiss*

Shinigamiinochi

I also agree with that. Even if he did like Vox back then, he's so closed off and hates any kind of vulnerability. Vox constantly getting in his personal space and touching him didn't endear him to Al either. Plus with how much he ignores boundaries and how pushy Vox is, I don't think anything except completely shattering his ego would have gotten Vox to stop pursuing him. And even with that, this man spent 70 years of his life stalking and beefing with Alastor because he is one of the only people who embarrassed him and wouldn't let him have something he wanted. The other insane thing is Alastor does not answer his proposal at all. He doesn't tell him no or yes, he just roasts him for asking it. I don't know what that might mean for Al's character, if the show is going to give us his perspective of that flashback, but I find it really interesting.

Shinigamiinochi

especially Upside Down. I know it isn't exactly canon, but from what Viv has hinted at and Black Gryphon's understanding of Alastor's character, it could be closely adjacent to what his actual back story is. I desperately need season 3 to get into that stuff because I love abnormal psychology and I find Alastor to be easily the most interesting character in the show

Late to watch again, because of a band meeting this time. This episode is so musically strong. "Live To Live" has become one of my absolute favourites of the season. I also really love "When I Think About the Future", I love the group numbers where you get to hear from so many different characters. I want to highlight Valentino's part here, where it's like he's cast himself in the role of Mary Magdalen to Vox's Jesus from Jesus Christ Superstar. I get such "I Don't Know How To Love Him" vibes from his part (especially the "he's just a man" bit). Fun thing about "Brighter": Vox has some cool dance moves in the final chorus, and if you slow them down a little you can see he's spelling out his name with his arm movements, which I thought was funny. If you look at some of Vox's proposed ideas for the TV network, you'll see him claiming credit for inventing Shark Week (his shark obsession was clearly a thing long before he died) and pushing for colour TV. As for Sinful Saturdays, I would really love if you kept it going. More deep dives into the voice actors would be so much fun. You could check out some of the behind the scenes videos as well, maybe? Additionally, there's more Helluva Boss content you haven't seen yet, like the shorts, and I don't think you watched Mission Zero either (which is a remake of the Helluva Boss pilot that came out last year when Helluva Boss got its Amazon deal). When it comes to the Helluva shorts, there are 9 of them out as of right now, and if the last two are anything to judge by, they seem to be releasing one short per month, possibly until season 3 comes out which is rumoured to be later this year. The shorts don't have any songs, but they're also only between 3 and 5 minutes each so you could do them as shorter reactions or do two at a time or whatever you feel like. They're quite fun, and some of them have some really nice character moments.

demon8883

I am so happy you had the same reaction to Live to Live as I did. Hope you’re ready for the finale and a very long song analysis.

Lucille Waters

I think it speaks to his skills being able to use material from others. Vox is a workaholic and definitley not lazy. xD But using material from other people is a common propaganda tactic.

MikeTW

Could add Alastor's Game by The Living Tombstone to that list. Which from what I can tell was made before Sam Haft was hired to compose the songs for Hazbin.

MikeTW

A note on Alastor's Game, NateWantstoBattle's version is a cover. It was actually written by The Living Tombstone which is Sam Haft's band, before he was hired to work on Hazbin. I find that to be a fun little detail.

Torie

With “Brighter” I went from ‘cool, an origin song’ to being gobsmacked the moment he slashed the anchorman's throat. So much happens during that song as he kills his way to the top. Just crazy! The lyrics to “Live to Live” killed me. That opening line! How did they come up with that!! And how making mistakes is innate to being human…ohmigahd!! And Patina Miller hitting those notes! Whooooo!!!! Yeah, this is my 3rd favorite song of the season. Not in any particular order. 😄 The interesting part of that scene is that Sera relies on counsel from Pentious. The guy she gave the 3rd degree to while having him chained at the beginning of Season 2. Which goes to show you never know who will come into your life, how they’ll show up, and what role they will play. Yes, the Helluva Boss shorts and Black Gryph0n songs would be a great way to keep Sinful Saturdays going! PARANOiD DJ has a few songs as well. The Striker-themed “In My Sights” is a good one. 🤠

Sandra Bryk

So glad you had the appropriate reaction to live to live because I feel like that song doesn’t get enough love and it’s probably my favorite of the whole series. It’s so incredibly beautiful. And of course as soon as pentious sings it starts with sorry I’m a mess lol. As for saturdays I’d love to keep it going! I’m down for either seeing some of the actors other work or you mentioned musicals. I’m down for other musicals as well. Either sounds fun!

Redza

I cannot wait for reaction to the last episode! Just remember (without spoilers!) How did Charlie find out how angels can die? Just something to keep in mind!

LaurenAnne

I always had it in my head that you would do a great cover of 'Brighter'

Sha_Nyx

If we switch gears to another show, might I suggest The Amazing Digital Circus? It's not as musical but I feel like it has a lot of the same energy and also down to earth moments in it. The only problem is I don't think it's finished yet.

Sha_Nyx

What do you mean who was that? That was Rooster! He's been there the whole time! A fun thing about the song Brighter, if you go back to Stayed Gone from season 1, a lot of the shows that Vox hosted while talking about Alastor coincide with the TV network he was on when alive in Brighter. There was a news clip, a talk show, a cooking show, and even a religious program.

Kaisa Kullervontytär

I've been suggesting the Helluva shorts for like forever! Maybe it's time, finally! Two or three of them at a time would make a decent reaction.

Kaisa Kullervontytär

I was gonna suggest The Amazing Digital Circus, too! If Tim's okay with it not being a musical. There's score music in it, though. ^^

Angela

I would love a reaction to TADC! It's definitely not as musical though (I can think of only 2.5 songs) so I'm not sure how much he'd want to do something without a ton of music, but it is darker in tone. And, they just announced at the end of episode 8 that episode 9 (the last one) comes out in June!

MikeTW

Live to Live is beautiful and lyrically speaking, I think it's some of Sam and Andrew's finest work.

Onigiri_Girl

So excited to find Hazbin Hotel songs for Season 1 at a Karaoke Parlor in Japan! It's hit the big time haha

Onigiri_Girl

There is one episode left due out in June. Totally worth watching-it's amazing. Tim, I suggest listening to I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream short story on YouTube with the community during your Amazing DC run because this show is based on this classic.

YanaBente

Maybe one Sinful Saturday we can watch one of the Sam haft interviews with you! Also down to deep dive into the voice actor/singers for the show!

YanaBente

It makes me tear up every time!

Kayleesi

There is still the Helluva shorts on YouTube and season 3 will becoming soon I think? So it would probably be better not to go right into a series of anything else. Plus fan videos, your deep dives, etc.. you could use that time slot for it?

SParks

Every morning since I saw this episode i've been waking up to Live to Live in my head. it makes the day before and the day ahead feel a little better.

SParks

Alastor's long game is unmatched. And you'll see what that means in the last episode.

MikeTW

I actually use Live to Live as my alarm tone :)

Jaiden M

I'd love to hear a hazbin cover from you ^^
