Season 3 episode 10 is one of the best episodes in the series when it comes to provide context. Most of the ordinary separatists were in the right when it came to the Republic. You may have noticed that most of the Separatistic senators were aliens, that's not a coincidence. The Republic was quite xenophobic and most of the alien species came from the outer rim, the sectors where the Separatists had the most sympathisers. Since the outer rim barely got any real representation, the majority of them left the Republic. That created more hate towards the aliens (just like the hate towards the droids). And guess what, that was one of many things the Empire adopted from the Republic. The Separatists weren't really aware of all the war crimes the Separatists commited (just like the Republic weren't really aware of all the atrocities we've seen the Republic commit). Both the Separatist and the Republic were played by their political leaders, but the movement were mostly in the right. The Separatists main goal was to break away from the Republic and to be seen as a legitimate state. The Republic thought didn't agree and deemed them illegal. I've said it before but you should really watch Tales Of The Jedi (Episodes 2,3 and 4) because of the context it gives Dooku and the reasons behind the movement. Episode 2,3 and 4 are one arc and it takes place like 10 years prior to the Clone Wars so nothing gets spoiled. Avoid episodes 1, 5 and 6 though since they'll spoil a few things.

Yes, Anakin does indeed look older and with longer hair. All characters in this show are ageing and slowly changing looks towards how they are in Revenge of the Sith. Also, Andor has given me a bit more appreciation towards the politics scenes in this show :)

I think those episodes in Tales of the Jedi almost made me start rooting for Dooku :D great episodes that deliver a lot of interesting information. It indeed enriches the Clone Wars' story.

Abby Jane

When should I watch it? Before I finish the clone wars?

Noah

Do it whenever you want. I thought it would fit this arc that showcased the complexity of the Clone Wars and the Separatists. And avoid episodes 1, 5 and 6, they'll spoil the Clone Wars.

Richard Ramirez

this is just an opinion but u should give more reviews of the episodes we can barely see your insight. :D i would like to see more if its possible.. :D

I agree, you can watch them whenever you want -> since the Separatists and Dooku are prevalent in the clone wars until their demise in RotS, knowing more about it is a great addition, though not a necessity. No one will be upset if you watch it after the Clone Wars is done either :)

Disagree I think the show fleshed out Padme & Anakin’s relationship a tone throughout this show . It’s way more believable than the movies
