Now you have to wait 6 years like everyone else did for more Clone wars 🤗

Malachi M

Ya the show was cancelled and this would’ve been the series finale 🙁(leaving an insane cliffhanger and lots of questions). However, the next season (S6) was picked up by Netflix and referred to as Clone Wars “The lost missions” which are basically all arcs they completed before Disney bought star wars and cancelled the show. Until 2020 when season 7 was released, it really was a shock at the time as most had given up on the show returning and the fan reactions were amazing!

But Abby, when u gonna see season 7.. chefs kiss. .:D

Abby Jane

I thought it got cancelled after season 6. 6 years is a long time omg

Malachi M

It did and didn’t get canceled, Disney and Lucasfilm just saw the arcs as to complete to just scrap so sold it to Netflix to release but still knew nothing else was coming after. That’s why the announcement for season 7 was such a shock to so many people. Though yes, I think everyone can confirm it was worth the wait

When the show aired, we didn't know the fate of Ahsoka, Rebels wasn't out and Ahsoka wasn't released. There was alot of speculation about her fate and many assumed she'd die. You give Palpatine alot of more credit than he deserve. This wasn't created by Palpatine. Barriss realized what the ordinary citizens had come to realize. You've been deceived into thinking the Jedi were the good guys. I don't get why anyone would like them. The movies and this show does a good job showing every Jedi except Anakin, Ahsoka, Plo Koon, Kit Fisto and at times Yoda and Obi Wan as complete assholes and idiots who are full of themselves. There's a reason why the father erased Anakin's memory and why both Luke and Yoda agreed that the Jedi order should've ended in The Last Jedi. You litterally said in this video that it's wrong to ignore your emotions, which is basically what Yoda tells Anakin to do in Revenge Of The Sith. George Lucas idea was to show how the Jedi became full of themselves and ultimately created their own downfall. This was probably the final nail in the coffin for Anakin. His unlimited compassion and loyalty led to him going out of his way to find the truth and save Ahsoka and in the end. He wasn't being "the perfect jedi" who ignored his feelings and attachments, instead his loyalty and goodness drove him to fight for her and to not just accept the evidence and look the other way. But in the end, he still lost her because the Jedi drove her away, just as he lost his mother cause of the Jedi's regulations keeping him from saving her, just as he thought that the Jedi would stop him from saving Padmé in Revenge Of The Sith. Add the emotional manipulation he got from Obi Wan in season 4 and everything in Revenge Of The Sith and it's not far-fetched for him to abandon the order. It seems like you judge Anakin in this show with the knowledge of what happens to him later and don't give him the credit nor the empathy he deserves. It's kinda unfair. Windu's actions was among many which led to Anakin become evil, if he'd trust him from the beginning and if the Jedi never showed how untrustworthy it had become, Anakin would never have turned to the dark-side. If you're being treated like a monster, you'll become a monster. That's why Anakin's manys absolute favourite character and why he's basically the most developed, among the most beloved and best character in Star Wars. And if I were Anakin, I'd walk away from the order right after Ahsoka. He had nothing to gain from it. It'd be so much better for him to leave the war behind and settle with Padmé on Naboo.

Also, I don't know if you know it but the Ahsoka-series features alot of characters from Star Wars Rebels and it continues on plot-points from that show. If you start that show and haven't watched Star Wars Rebels, you'll be quite lost in the beginning.

Very good points! I also think it was the will of the Force itself — in a deterministic way — to “send” Anakin and restore balance to the Force. Not for one side to dominate the other, but in a yin-and-yang kind of way. There can be no light without darkness. At some point, the Jedi lost their path; there was no other way. The Force — and the Jedi — needed a reset. If you watch Rebels and Ahsoka, you may or may not come to the same conclusion.

This arc was deeply emotional due to Ahsoka’s departure, and now, the endgame draws near. The Season 6 arc is incredibly interesting, it adds so much depth to the story. Season 7 is where Star Wars truly peaks, can't wait for those reactions. 😁

Somehow the scene of Ahoska leaving does not get easier when rewatching it :'D I think it is sad and emotional, because we all feel the destruction of trust and disappointment she feels, and we all can empathize with her and her decision. Uff there are several things to note here, I will perhaps write the most interesting only: 1) According to Dave Filoni, only Obi Wan, Plo Koon and Yoda sided with Ahoska... 2) According to Filoni, no, Palpatine was not behind the attack that Baris did, she did that by herself. But I don't think he was bothered by it, the little snake. 3) It makes you wonder if the vision she had on Mortis of her future self played in her mind to help make a decision. Just as a reminder, she warned herself that she might never see her future if she remained Anakin's student. I guess we can see how she started to get carried away with anger when speaking to the woman citizen that fed the nano-driods. 4) I find it poetic that the arc begins with Ahsoka saving Anakin's life, and ends with Anakin saving Ahsoka's life. 5) We see how much more unhinged Anakin is getting when someone he cares about is in trouble, and how much closer we are getting to Revenge of the Sith. The amount of times the imperial march theme is heard is off the charts lol 6) There is an unfinished clone wars scene (I don't remember where in the timeline it would land) where Anakin and Obi Wan confront each other about Ahsoka leaving. Very very interesting to watch. I guess it is semi-canon because only the animation was not finished (an independent group of animators did finish it though!), but yeah, I think most of us consider it canon. 7) We now clearly see that Anakin's turn to the dark side was death by a thousand cuts, not as sudden as we all once thought when watching the films. Ahsoka leaving is def one of the bigger ones though. 8) The jedi are insanely clouded and arrogant at this point. When watching the movies, palpatine tells yoda "your arrogance blinds you master yoda". I think it does apply, but to all jedi. It is also insane how they have become lapdogs of the senate, and by their own fault too. I also got annoyed by their half-assed "apology" to Ahsoka, specially when Windu opened his mouth lol 9) Remember that clone in red armour that got yelled at by Anakin with the "let.. me.. IN!"? Well, that clone would later on interact with Darth Vader. IIRC, it did not end well for that clone lol Is it also me, or does Anakin's eyes look a bit yellowish for a moment there, when he starts to back off? As a side note, are we allowed to talk about the comic books Abby? I don't know if they could count as spoilers if you ever plan on reading them... I feel Clone Wars is very similar to Rogue One, where there is a long build-up, and stuff starts getting serious near the end of it. I am very happy that you are enjoying the Clone Wars :) The next two seasons are even shorter, so it will feel like they will fly by. Can't wait to see more!!

Also, my suggestion would be to watch Tales of the Jedi, Tales of the Empire, and Tales of the Underworld before the Kenobi series. Each of the "Tales of ___" feels visually and chronologically tied to the clone wars. Plus they only have 6 short episodes each, so each of them can be watched entirely in one sitting... And then Kenobi and then Ahsoka. Like someone else said, there is another series called Rebels, but that is a discussion to be had several months from now :D so let's not think about it.

I totally agree with you, Abby. That arc was really a rollercoaster of emotions. The final scene, where Ahsoka leaves the Order, hit me so hard back then and still does today. But I completely understand Ahsoka's decision. Honestly, after everything that happened, who wouldn't have left the Order in her place? That was such a good season finale.

Abby Jane

I'm not a massive comic reader so I wouldn't consider them spoilers!
