I am SO glad you liked it! Don't worry, every charecter will get their moment ;) What you've witnessed so far is only scratching the surface. Bring it on!

Andres C

Nice! This is where the fun begins. One of the big positives is exactly that these are new characters; you don't know where the journey will take you nor do you know of their fate. Compared to the Clone Wars and other shows, where we already knew of order 66 and where things and characters were going, this one brings fresh adventures and knowledge. This show also shines very bright at certain moments, can't wait for that either!

Noah

I've only seen some sporadic episodes of it (mostly season 2), but I can't stand the downgrade in animation from the Clone Wars and the lower audience lowers the stakes for me. The only things in it that I enjoy are the sith/jedi-stuff. If you thought Obi-Wan looked bad, wait till you see Anakin and Yoda. The family-dynamic is nice but I feel like it's an inferior version of Avatar: The Last Airbender's dynamic. When you watch Clone Wars season 7, episode 9, you see a padawan and a female jedi during the opening narration. The padawan is Kanan. You also see him in Tales Of The Jedi when he watches Ahsoka's training in episode 5 and he appears in the first episode of The Bad Batch.

I love this series. I will tell you to be patient because this is a slow burn series that will build as you go. The first season is really good at introducing the characters and their relationship with each other. The second season and following seasons are amazing.

If you have not seen it all then you are making opinions based on incomplete information. This is a slow burn series. Most of the complaints I have seen have been about the animation style. I think people are just complaining to complain instead of digging into the series and watching the story progress.

Noah

Well I don't need to watch every single episode to notice the downgrade in animation and that the lowered audience lowers some of the stakes, what other assumptions did I make? I know that some important characters die but it's not as impactful as The Clone Wars, especially in terms of social commentary and maturity. I don't worry about the cause since everyone knows that the Rebels will win, and I don't worry as much about the characters since it's not allowed to get too dark or graphic. I don't get why people get so defensive about it? I don't discredit anyone who enjoys it more. I explained why I've not bothered to watch the whole series before. That's my personal opinion.

You must be fun at parties. Holy shit.

Noah

What does that have to do with anything? You on the other hand must live a hard life, judging people based their preffered movies and shows.

Andres C

Bro, why did you mention him appearing in the Bad Batch, that's a spoiler :/ Characters making cameos in series are usually done as surprises by the writers. Let's not say who appears in what, let her discover that herself please.

Noah

I don't consider that a spoiler since it doesn't give away anything from either The Bad Batch or Rebels. He's in it for like 5 minutes and is never shown again. I'm not sure she's going to catch it if she even watches The Bad Batch.

Danny Steele

The animation style is based on Ralph McQuarrie’s original concept art for Star Wars back in 1970s. Just look up this art and you might possibly understand the inspiration for the look of the series. This show does a good job of balancing the more complex elements and storylines into a show that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Noah

Yeah and I don't vibe with it. Only cause there's a reason for it, doesn't mean that I should like it. Apparently, the bad CGI in The Flash (2023) was intended to make everything from Barry's perspective in his "waterworld", it doesn't mean that people should like it just because there's reason behind it. It still looks bad. Rebels may balance it in a way that's more fitting for a general audience but that'll ultimately make it less interesting for me. I'm not ready to invest that many hours into a show like that when I know that this won't impact the outcome on Endor. It doesn't fill out the gaps and doesn't fleshen out that much of the Galactic Civil War either. I have my issues with The Bad Batch for example but it does a far greater job at fleshening out the era it takes place in, aswell as having higher stakes since we do not know what'll happen to all the main characters. It also have the core family element and some really good character development.
