Hot take: Based on it's legacy and reception, this is the most overrated movie of all time. It's not bad and it's well-made but it's not nearly as good as it's reception. It's a 5/10 at best. It's filled with stereotypes, clichés and corny dialogue. I must be truly dead inside because I find Rose boring, lackning of any personality and I couldn't give a damn about her happiness. Jack's nice and somewhat charismatic but I almost find him obnoxious. Leo's had so many other great perfomances and he looks so... boyish here. This doesn't do the leg-work to get me invested. I think it's far more interesting to see the way people died during the sinking. I also think that Jack would've survived if Rose actually stayed on the life boat. I'm certain that his survival skills would've allowed him to come up with a way to stay alive if he didn't need to worry about Rose and ensure her survival aswell.

I honestly was expecting it to be a lot more focused on the romantic storyline so I was pleasantly surprised and whilst some of the lines were a bit cheesy I though it well done

It's a well crafted movie and the overall design and music is well made, Cameron's very good at it. I just think plot is one of his weaknesses and the story-telling isn't very good. Leo plays a total dickhead in one of my favourite movies but I'm alot more invested in his character there because he's layered, I think most characters here are one note, and I don't like Rose. But since you care so much about animals, I expect some pretty strong reactions and opinions about some characters in Superman 2025. I almost expect you to reach Amberreacts level of hatred for the villains. It could be pretty enteraining to watch. I wonder how you're feelings was when you saw GOTG 3 for the first time and all the animal cruelty there.

The story of the musicians who played during the sinking to calm the passengers is true. They played as long as they could and sadly all perished. More romantic movies: Hacksaw Ridge or Pearl Harbor 😄

GOTG 1 "we are Groot" GOTG 2 Yondu dying and almost all of 3 had me ugly crying 😭😭 "you weren't meant to be a destroyer, Drax. You were meant to be a dad" 😭😭😭 like a baby.. loved how they wrapped up every character except Gamora.. " I bet we was fun" 😭😭😭

Noah

I must be truly dead then? I've never cried during a movie no matter how sad it is. I think it'd liberating to cry but I can't. I've only felt slightly disturbed or disconent by four movies but never actually sobbed. TASM 2, Interstellar and No Time To Die seem like movies most people would get emotional by but if you've seen it, did you find the climax of The Flash 2023 sad? Or does it hit me deep because of personal reasons?

I love titanic more for the history part. Especially the crew. The titanic had seven officers. Chief Officer Wilde, the one who said cut the ropes. First Officer Murdoch, who shot himself, but every surviving officer said he didnt do that, which is why his family was pretty pissed about this. Second Officer Lightoller, the highest ranking officer who survived and the one asking the captain if women and children first. Third Officer Pitman, who survived. Fourth Officer Boxhall, who also survived. Fifth Officer Lowe, the one who came back with the boat and also survived. Normally Lowe wouldnt have been on this boat in the first place. The sixth Officer Moody who normally would have taken that lifeboat, cause he was the youngest, told lowe he should take it. He was the one letting Jack and Fabrizio on the ship and who took the call from the watchpost. James Moody did not survive the titanic and died at the age of 24 as the youngest commanding officer and the only junior officer. He was last seen by Lightoller just minutes before the complete sinking, trying to get a folding boat ready and did also hand the stewardess Violet Jessop a baby when she was ordered into lifeboat 16 to keep the non english speaker calm. Violet Jessop worked on every Olympic-Class ship the white-star-line had and survived a disaster on everyone of them. First in 1911 the Olympic collided with the cruiser HMS Hawke by the royal navy, both ships were badly damaged but non of them sank. In 1912 she survived the Titanic. And in 1916 during WWI while working for the red cross, the Brittanic hit a mine and sank. Jessops lifeboat was pulled in by the propellers but she managed to jump out before it was hit and then saved by another lifeboat. She was 23 in 1911 and with 29 she survived three ship disasters.

Yeah there's many things in the movie that's quite accurate. Molly Brown was mostly accurate. Murdoch shooting himself is part of a rumour that someone ended their life during the chaos. Andrews standing by the clock in the smoking room is based on a witness even though he was reportedly seen after that aswell. Ismay sneaking himself onto a boat was accurate. The chief baker drinking alcohol were partly correct and he survived, saying that he didn't feel the cold because of the alcohol. Guggenheim and Giglio saying "We've dressed up in our best and are prepared to go down like gentlemen" is accurate.

I've never seen any of the Flash movies, I used to never cry at movies or really cry at all. Something changed in me the last few years im not sure what, but im way more emotional and i think im a better/happier person now. Watch some TicToks of babies/kids hearing their mom/dad talk for the first time after getting those cochlear implants if that dont get some tears going get back with me and we will take it to level 2 lol

Noah

But babies getting cochlear implants and hearing their parents is a happy moment, I've never happy cried in my life, just when I've been sad. I used to be very emotional but became jaded when I reached my teens (don't remember me ever crying to movies though). The Flash isn't a very good movie but the emotional core hits me deep, but I have a special relationship with my mom so it may be why.

Hell yea I love when they start off like “I won’t cry, I’m dead inside i won’t care and I won’t ship” I was rubbing my hands together like 😏😈hehehe we’ll see about that lol great reaction!

B. Jin

And yea this is really a horror film with a romantic story woven into it LOL

Abby Jane

Im glad you enjoyed my tears 😭😂

I signed up for this. Thank you for blurring the picture in picture, there's nothing worse than being forced to watch some low-res, compressed to death version with its audio playing. Can't wait to watch!

AdrianF

As others have said, you're not dead inside after all. Thanks for watching it.
