Richard Ramirez

is this the normal version right? :) or extended?

l

While there isn't a game where you can just roam around doing nothing, there is an Avatar game called Frontiers of Pandora

Richard Ramirez

Ohh btw there is an Avatar game and its pretty good actually and u can walk around on the planet :D

Noah

The MCU and LOTR is quite niché and especially the Avengers movies requires a bit of knowledge, Avatar was a stand-alone movie. Other than it being released in a different time, the movie was not only James Cameron's first movie in 12 years but was also marketed with ground-breaking tech, immersive 3D and said to be required to watch on the biggest screen possible (imo at the expense of the plot). The filmcraft was what stood out and was marketed. But Avengers Endgame did beat it and Avatar only took back the throne when it got re-released in China back in 2021. I'm certain that Endgame will reclaim top spot after a re-release ahead of Doomsday. It's also worth noting that most of the audience for the MCU is males. Roughly +60% of the MCU's audience is males while Avatar has always been quite split 50/50.

First time's the charm. Where's the lit up VHS tape from?

AdrianF

Yeah but before MCU went to sh*t (post COVID?), it was gold. And LOTR is an absolute must watch that will drive subs up a lot. Another channel recently started it and it's added thousands on YT. As one commenter put it: the trilogy is 'lightning in a bottle' and I would agree with that.

Noah

Sure but I'm talking about how Avatar could gross so much more money than LOTR and your average MCU movie. Especially the MCU. There's alot of movie-makers and purists who'll refuse to watch them. I have a friend who refuses superhero-movies because he thinks they'll unrealistic, childish and the superpowers are inconsistent. Being part of a big franchise like that can also hurt your box-office.

Abby Jane

It was the only version on disney+ so I assume normal version. Had no idea there was an extended one!

AdrianF

I've found an Exorcist one on Etsy, gracias! It's amazing!

The Green Mile (1999) would be a great reaction.

Wil Castillo

This story was like the American history of colonization, but in the form of Science-Fiction. I love this movie and your reaction to it, Abby. I'm looking forward to the next one.
