Everything you wonder about will be explained in the show, and every character will be fleshed out. These episodes does a good job showing what kind of persons Katara and Sokka are, and even Zuko. We've seen the water tribe's village. The way they live is quite old-fashioned. In episode 1, Katara explains that their dad and all the men in the village left to fight in the war two years prior to these events. Who were the ones left behind? Women, children and Sokka. We'll see more but from the information you have now, it's pretty obvious why Sokka has a warped view on women. Especially considering he was 13 at the time. I don't know if you ever planned on watching the live-action Netflix adaptation but Sokka's warped view on women was heavily toned down or removed from the live-action adaptation because of how dated that trope was. The producers didn't think it would go down well in today's day and age, even if it's part of his character development. I've never watched the Netflix adaptation but I remember there being discourse regarding that choice when the series aired in 2024. Also, it says alot about Zuko's skill level that he defeated a grown Admiral in a duel (Agni Kai). Remember it because it'll tell alot when you see later episodes. I've always thought that based on what I've seen from Star Wars Rebels, it's an inferior version of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I think the core is stronger in Avatar and that Rebels rips of a few ideas from Avatar. But that might just be me? You'll going to love this series, especially in season 2 when it gets even better.

Yeah maybe shouldn’t skip the intro, for some reason it cuts into the first scene. There was a good little moment for Zuko it won’t always be the case but sometimes a previously on will have an important reminder

Ep3 It’s insane that Zuko’s ship was shown to be so big and intimidating and now we see it’s small compared to the others Roku is the avatar you see in the intro who vanishes There’s a lot of dead firebenders in that room and just one Gyatso. Airbenders may be more peaceful, but they’re not to be underestimated, especially masters Yes, Zuko’s scar is a burn. They actually don’t touch on firebender’s “immunity” to fire in this but apparently the new live action show does. If I understand it correctly, they’re taught to be on defense with fire from the get go, so it’s actually very hard for them to get burned unless they let down that defense Momo is Japanese for peach. That’s what he was eating when Aang named him A scrapped concept was that Momo was a reincarnated Gyatso. I think that kinda translates into the episode, since Gyatso was shown to be a bit mischevious, and Momo later brought them food. Thus far the avatar only reincarnates into another avatar Ep4 Foaming mouth guy is hilarious! 😂 You’re only gonna learn a bit of it from this show, but Avatar Kyoshi was BAD ASS. They’ve been adding a lot to her story the last handful of years The girls are called the Kyoshi warriors. Kyoshi island is part of the Earth kingdom Yeah this is thankfully the end of Sokka’s sexism

Yeah I think I talk about that in the outro in the next video. I find it weird that they would remove that part of his character from the live action, sounds like a lame reason too

Have you considered adventuring into anime? I was born and raised in Texas and western media (live action or animated) never captivated me. Anime did it for me. If you want to dip your toes into it, ill leave some recommendations of movies. Since they are much easier to get into and try. Your Name, Suzume, Weathering With You, A Silent Voice and Spirited Away. You wont be disappointed with any of these.
