In honor of my American Graffiti reaction dropping today, I took little Cash to Mel’s Drive-In since it’s where a lot of the movie is set! Hope to see you at the Premiere! 🖤

I always wanted to go there. That looks like a very cool place. I love retro spots, and landmark places.

That is SO COOL!!!!! (And I think you're wearing a Gram Parsons shirt to boot? Even cooler!!!!). Oh man, that shake looks incredible! That reaction was EVERYTHING I'd ever want in an "American Graffit" reaction. You knew all the music!!! I'm just like you, sis, I've been a Buddy Holly fan/50's rock fan since I was little! In fact....I saw " American Graffiti" when I was five! It was the first movie I saw in a theatre that wasn't a Disney flick! I was blown away. And I was blown away by your fantastic reaction. You have now become THE reactor for me in terms of anything to do with rock & roll-related films. I hope you do "A Hard Day's Night" one day! Or "Yellow Submarine"! But I'll bet you've seen 'em already! PS: What I love about watching "Graffiti" and "Dazed And Confused" together, like you just did.......is the elephant in the room: the 1960s! The time period BETWEEN "Graffiti" (end of 50s culture) and "Dazed" (70s). All the cultural change that happened in between. The end of "Graffiti" points that up, that haunting epilogue: you think you're watching a comedy......turns out you're watching a drama! Brilliant. George Lucas' greatest film! Ha! :D

That Mel’s diner on sunset used to be Ben Frank’s and you can tell by the shape of the roof. It was a great hang at two in the morning with all the rock bands, hookers, cops tourists and the lonely.

This looks so perfect! Ray of sunshine, on a cloudy overcast day; (for me it is)✊
