TOGA! TOGA!! TOGA!!! Couldn’t find a white sheet, so wore a sheet like shirt instead since I was pretty sure there was a “toga party” in this film. Actually “pretty sure” is inaccurate. I had a slight and often doubted inkling… 😂 Lucky I wasn’t wrong and the rest was a blast too! Reaction highlights released on YouTube this Friday June 27th! 🖤

I don't think I've seen any other reactors do this one that I can think of. Haven't seen this in YEARS. Thanks! Looking forward to this.

You'll never look at a guitar the same way after this!

U will love The Blues Brothers! When I was in college I worked at a bar and we booked Otis Day and the Knights and had a Toga party!!! He toured colleges for years.

One of my all-time favourites—and seeing you post it just makes it better. You’ve got such an instinct for iconic Americana. It suits you—timeless, a little wild, and way too fun to forget.

This is a Belushi classic, you must watch The Blues Brothers. Yes Jim Belushi is John's younger brother. John died of an overdose at the age of 33, so sad. Hope you watch The Blues Brothers (Unrated) version, approx 15 more mins. BTW, The girl behind the desk was Eliza Roberts, Eric Roberts wife.

Belushi really was a comic legend! I was a huge fan of his when I was a kid back in the late 70s / early 80s. I definitely recommend The Blues Brothers. I think you will recognize quite a few people in that film!

Chris

How is this gonna help? Weren't you listening? The situation absolutely required a truly futile and stupid gesture. Love quoting that line.

With your background in movie production you really need to watch Living in Oblivion. A day in the production of a low budget movie. One of Steve Buscemi early movies. Peter Dinklage’s first credited screen appearance. Really. Please watch it. And the blues brothers. Watch that one too.

Mark Knight

This is an awesome movie. It’s sad that Belushi only made a few movies in his lifetime. I think after this he only did The Blues Brothers, Neighbors, 1941, and Continental Divide, which is something totally different, a romantic comedy. He was exceptionally good in that. You should totally watch The Blues Brothers. Anytime Belushi, and Ackroyd shared the screen it was incredible.

I'm in for watching The Blues Brothers with everyone. John and Dan... Correction Jake and Elwood introduced me to some great music as a 10yr old. Music that I still listen to. Minnie the Moocher and Everyone Needs Somebody hits all my job site playlists. Sweet Home Chicago is the tune I play as I rush home almost every Friday. Dan is also the reason I love the blues Harp. The movie is great and a must see. Coby, do you have a formal way for Movie Suggestions? I'd love to get 1970- Kelly's Heroes and 1977- Fun with Dick and Jane on a Poll. Two comedies I also feel are a Must See. Would listing Clint Eastwood and Jane Fonda Help at all?

Yes! Of course I remember Mr. Ed. It’s one of my earliest TV memories. What a pleasant surprise that you saw it also. I didn’t realize it was still popular that many years later. After a couple of really heavy movies, a fun, almost stress free comedy farce. You seem to have enjoyed the other farces that you’ve reacted to, such as Airlane!, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Spaceballs. All different but all meant as nonsensical fun. Heavy movies are important as they often make us think about difficult topics. Farcical comedies great so we don’t have to always think. You were temporarily stressed by the horse’s heart attack, until you realized the concept was too ridiculous to be taken seriously. It was meant as a farcical joke. A little stress also when a guy was dragged by a horse. So sorry to hear that actually happened to you as a little girl.

If we're voting (we are, aren't we?) I, too, vote for "Bow bow bow...rubba biscuit. Homanuma himanuma." Blues Brothers!!!
