Clint Eastwood just knows how to make a movie… on the edge of my seat, even in a true story. Hope you enjoy, I did! Reaction highlights to be released Monday August 11th! 🖤

SULLY (2016) - Full Watch Along

Sully (also known as Sully: Miracle on the Hudson) is a 2016 American biographical drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Todd Komarnicki, based on the 2009 autobiography Highest Duty by Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow. Tom Hanks stars as Sullenberger, with Aaron Eckhart as Jeffrey Skiles, and co-stars Laura Linney, Anna Gunn, Autumn Reeser, Holt McCallany, and Jamey Sheridan. The film follows Sullenberger's 2009 emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River, in which all 155 passengers and crew survived, and the subsequent publicity and investigation.

I swear I don't live on Patreon...but...you did Sully? That was such a good movie! I only watched it like two weeks ago but I really liked it!

Jay Davis

What a nice surprise. Really enjoy this movie a lot but haven't watched it again in quite some time. Looking forward to it.

Joe Swenson

This is a nice surprise, thanks Coby!

You know who else was nervous on this flight about two minutes in? Haha. Defyng laws, like those of gravity, should be nervewracking.

Excellent movie choice. I’ve seen this one several times. You can’t go wrong when Tom Hanks is the lead. You can’t go wrong when Clint Eastwood is the director. We are doubly blessed. Well, since you’re reacting to it we are tripley blessed! Looking forward to watching your reaction.

Only problem with the video is we can’t see Cash! Is he stuffed in the reserve pouch or floating next to you in his own chute?

NEIL HOPPER

Hopefully everyone watching this remembers that though the event was factual, the way this movie is written is not accurate….You have to have a antagonist in a movie to make the audience hiss and boo and root foe

You may want to check out the movie Flight - 2012 with Denzel Washington.

Great movie and great reaction Coby. This was the first time I had seen this movie. It was the only Clint Eastwood directed movie that I had yet to see. Love Eastwood every movie he has been in and directed. Also Tom Hanks was great in it. I do remember that landing and that is was questioned.

Coby it did not state at the beginning that is was directed by Clint Eastwood, so you did not miss that. it just says Sully that was all

I enjoyed that. I had no idea they put him through so much hell. Some of my favorite movies are based on true stories, and then you add in a great actor like Tom Hanks and a great producer like Clint Eastwood—no wonder it was so good. I'm always up for a True-Story movie. Million Dollar Baby by Clint Eastwood is great. I also love Cinderella Man (2005), The Pursuit of Happiness (2002), and The Pianist (2002). They are all worth watching. I love Cobys' Reactions.

Hey Coby. I just now watched this, and wow!!!! I think this might be the best reaction you’ve ever done.

Larry

Wonderful reaction as always. This might have been the best reaction that I’ve ever seen. I watched your reaction highlights. Will come back to watch your full watch along reaction later. I can also relate having been a passenger on hundreds of flights in and out of LGA. Occasionally on the former USAir, but not on that route. I also experienced loss of thrust (on a very small prop plane) as part of flying lessons and I hated that. Something that is central to every movie directed by Clint Eastwood is “the human factor.” In this situation the human factor saved the lives of every on that flight and countless thousands of lives on the ground. That was only because of Sully’s instincts, experience, and skills. His instincts gave him the right answer, and then he used his vast experience and skills to confirm. In 2009 the most advanced computers and AI would have made the wrong decision. Even the best AI in 2025, in my view, would have made the wrong decision because of erroneous censor information regarding one of the engines. It was the human factor that saved all those lives. The highly biased post event simulations, without considering the time needed to make a decision, as depicted in the movie were shameful. If those fraudulent simulations actually happened it seems that Airbus should have been investigated.

Thank you for doing this, doing these.
