Gotta love Goldie, and Chevy… and I really love Burgess Meredith! I might have to add Private Benjamin to my watch list too, since that was a big one for her. Thank you for the request, hope you all enjoy the Full Watch Along to this 70s comedy! 🖤

Hey Coby, I hope your week is going good. I may have seen this once before, I’m not sure. There is this one Chevy Chase movie I barely remember seeing as a kid, it had a scene where his hair was sticking out like he’d been electrocuted. I think it may have been called Modern Problems. Anyway I look forward to watching this.

Any chance we’ll see some Robert Redford reactions in the near future? (Butch & Sundance, The Natural, All the Presidents Men)

Thank you for watching this! This is one of my childhood favorites. I saw it in the theater when I was 9 and they used to play it on cable all the time in the 80s. I've recommended different reactors watch this but gave up but love that you are giving it a chance!

my guess the reason stiltskin is called the drawf is because of Rumpelstiltskin the farie tale imp a short and evil little creature

Thanks for watching this! I believe this is Chevy’s first starring role in a film. I love the purposeful Hitchcock callbacks, the San Francisco setting, and the great Dudley Moore. Fun movie.

Burgess Meredith was The Penguin, in the Batman 1966 TV series and the Movie based on the TV series, Batman: The Movie (1966) he is the best Penguin ever. lol He was also good in MAGIC (1978) if you have not seen that one, I recommend it for October.

I had forgotten everything about this movie, as I watched it again it all came back to my mind. Chevy Chase always plays the same a bit over confidant but a bit awkward and a little clumsy at times. since he was known for falling down on SNL. Must see "Fletch" (1985) and I like "Three Amigos!" (1986), Also he stars with Goldie Hawn again in "Seems Like Old Times" (1980)

So weird, I just watched The Warriors and noted the movie poster for Foul Play on the subway station wall (96th street). FP came out in July '78, I'm guessing they filmed the Warriors in July/Aug '78 in nyc.

Seems like Old Times is another one with the two of them. Of Mice and Men (1939) was the first movie I ever saw Burgess Meredith in. It's a good movie.

Kevin B is correct. The character in the film is named Rupert Stiltskin. The Brothers Grimm wrote a fairy tale named "Rumpelstiltskin" about an evil dwarf with that name. So, it is a nickname based on the similarity of the hitman's name with the dwarf in the fairy tale. I know this is a late comment, but I just watched this reaction and it is a favorite movie of mine. I saw this at the movie theater when it came out.
