Man of Steel is a 2013 superhero film based on the DC character Superman. Directed by Zack Snyder and written by David S. Goyer, who developed the story with producer Christopher Nolan, it is the first film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), and a reboot of the Superman film series, depicting the character's origin story. The film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, alongside Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, and Russell Crowe. In the film, Clark Kent learns that he is a superpowered alien from the planet Krypton and assumes the role of mankind's protector as Superman, making the choice to face General Zod and stop him from destroying humanity. Glad to have joined you in the premiere! I haven't seen the new one so if you do it, it'll be "new to me".

Hey, Coby. I had only seen this once before, I liked it even better this time. I really enjoyed your reaction. It was so different from the Christopher Reeve version, which I prefer, but I still liked Henry’s take on the role. And I definitely liked this version of Lois better too. I don’t remember much about the other ones, so I would totally be cool with you doing the Gunn version next. Hope you’re having a blast shooting your movie. And as always hope you have an awesome week.

I didn't care for Batman V Superman apart from one female character's awesome intro and that it led to a funny Deadpool 2 joke. I didn't see the original version of the Justice league though I was intrigued by Henry Cavill having a moustache for another role (an awesome one) that they had to CGI off, so he supposedly had a funny looking upper lip. I didn't notice it in the Snyder Cut of it which I did see, and thought was pretty good, if long. As far as the other Snyderverse films, I liked the first Wonder Woman a lot, and Aquaman as well, the Flash was pretty good. The extended cut of Suicide Squad (2016) was ok (started awesome). I liked Shazam, though it's a kid's movie. Birds of Prey (2020), or whatever the Harley Quinn movie ended up being named, I really enjoyed. The Suicide Squad (2021) was awesome and hilarious though very gory for my taste. The others I haven't seen. I haven't seen the new Superman movie yet, but I'm interested and will buy it if you react to it.

Excellent reaction again. Was surprised that you liked the first Christopher Reeve version better, but that’s cool. I think Man of Steel is better, but they’re both good in different ways. You and I totally agree about Lois. In my comments on the Christopher Reeve version I agreed that that version of Lois was superficial and said that Lois in Man of Steel is much more of a person of substance. Not self absorbed. I think you would enjoy Batman v. Superman and then Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Of course no one has time to watch everything. Hope the movie shoots are going well. I’m so much looking forward to seeing a lot more of your acting work. 👍🏼😁👍🏼

A bit concerned that you’ll be jumping into a tonally different film and have to adapt to a different cast, so if you’re into Cavill I’d watch those first (WW, BvS, JL (Snyder cut). But if you’re really looking forward to the Gunn one, then go for it.

Go straight to the new Superman. Some fans will want you to complete every set of related films, but you aren't a superhero super-fan and I don't think you'll ever watch every superhero movie. So start with sampling one from each era and if you want to go back later, you can do that.

Dan Cartier

Starts off brilliant but the last third is ridiculous. Huge planet wide battle that takes place on the same block as the press office. It's like they forgot it's a comic book that has the entire screenplay laid out as a story board!

Henry C. was an extra in one of my favorite Taylor Hackford films _Proof of Life_ with Russel Crowe but you don't see him. Then he's the son in _The Count of Monte Christo_ with Guy Pierce. My favorite role of his is in _Man from UNCLE._ - ALL thoroughly recommended!

Good reaction!

If you’re up for it just watch the opening scene from BvS it connects so well to MOS. If you find that you like it I strongly recommend the “Ultimate Version” it’s longer but it keeps the story connected and so much smoother.

Kraackin

this movie is 100x better than the new one.

Coby, I agree with on this one. I actually prefer Christopher Reeve's Superman over Cavil's but I like Cavil's as well as MoS. As some have mentioned, I also highly recommend "Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015)". Henry Cavil is fantastic in this! It's a real shame we never got a sequel but this didn't do well at the box office. (Est. loss: about $80M or so per THR.) But, like a lot of gems, it found its audience long after its release. Count me among its fans.

First 1/2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Second 1/2 Boo! 1/2⭐️

I reckon you should do Batman V Superman next

Scotty Carlton

Cavill does such a great job in Mission Impossible Fallout.
