THE BIG SLEEP (1946) - Full Watch Along

The Big Sleep is a 1946 American film noir directed by Howard Hawks. William Faulkner, Leigh Brackett and Jules Furthman co-wrote the screenplay, which adapts Raymond Chandler's 1939 novel. The film stars Humphrey Bogart as private detective Philip Marlowe and Lauren Bacall as Vivian Rutledge in a story that begins with blackmail and leads to multiple murders.

I’d recommend Touch of Evil (1959). Welles.

Looking forward to it Coby.... I'm sure I watched it a long time ago but can't remember anything about it, so it'll be fun to watch.

PSA for patreons: you may have already seen this; it appears to be a re-post of the April 2025 watch along.

So happy you unlocked this reaction, I have been looking forward to your reaction to this one. I just love Bogart. I hope you watch more of his movies. Bogie and Bacall Movies to watch Key Largo (1948) To Have and Have Not (1944) Dark Passage (1947) Other Bogart movies that you have not seen that I know of The Treasure of Sierra Madre (1948) The Maltese Falcon (1941) THE CAINE MUTINY (1954) SABRINA (1954) The Petrified Forest (1936) The Roaring Twenties (1939)

To Have and Have Not (1944), Dark Passage (1947). And The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948), without Lauren Bacall, is also a great movie. I love these old classics.

When I try to watch almost every one on patreon watch along I've been able to watch along. I see and hear coby but I can't hear or see the film.
