Hi hi everyone! I’ve had a tiny hold up on my “28 Days Later” for tonight… so instead of zombies, we’re going with utter silliness and some laughs! It didn’t even click that the title and whole concept is a play on MacGyver before going in, and it was also filmed long before I finally sat down to Tombstone or Road House. So apologies in advance for not knowing some iconic references. I pretty much went in blind as a little lost bat! 🖤

MACGRUBER (2010) - MOVIE REACTION - First Time Watching

MacGruber is a 2010 American action comedy film based on the Saturday Night Live sketch of the same name, which itself was a parody of action-adventure television series MacGyver. Jorma Taccone of the comedy trio The Lonely Island directed the film, which stars Will Forte in the title role; Kristen Wiig as Vicki St. Elmo, MacGruber's work partner and love interest; Ryan Phillippe as Dixon Piper, a young lieutenant who becomes part of MacGruber's team; Maya Rudolph as Casey, MacGruber's deceased wife; and Val Kilmer as Dieter von Cunth, the villain. Macgruber???? Omg I am too excited for that. My favorite comedy of the 2010s other than 22 Jump Street.

Have never seen MacGruber. I’m aware of the title and guessed it was a spoof on MacGyver. Is MacGruber worth watching. If someone says it is then I’ll watch it.

I have never even heard of this movie. Robert Duvall just died. We need a couple of good Robert Duvall movies, like Falling Down or Open Range. My favorite Robert Duvall movie is To Kill a Mockingbird, but he's only in it for a minute. RIP, Robert.
