Touching the Void is a 2003 survival documentary film directed by Kevin Macdonald and starring Brendan Mackey, Nicholas Aaron, and Ollie Ryall. The plot concerns Joe Simpson and Simon Yates' near-fatal descent after making the first successful ascent of the West Face of Siula Grande in the Cordillera Huayhuash in the Peruvian Andes, in 1985. I loved this reaction so much! Thanks again for watching one of my favorite movies. Now watch SEX, LIES, AND VIDEOTAPE. I promise you’ll love it too!

Owned/read the book a million life-times ago. Actively avoided the film because "They always get it wrong" ~ so was hesitant but intrigued. Actually watched it with you TWICE! Stellar emotional roller-coaster reminiscent of all the castaway accounts I've read. 127 Days must go on your list now - you'll see why! Also PLEASE consider the Taylor Hackford (favourite director) masterpiece ~ "Proof Of Life." You can thank me later.....

This was great. It kind of reminded me of 127 Hours; it's amazing what people will do to survive.
