MAGNUM FORCE (1973) - Full Watch Along

Magnum Force is a 1973 American neo-noir action-thriller film and the second to feature Clint Eastwood as maverick cop Harry Callahan after the 1971 film Dirty Harry. Ted Post, who had previously worked with Eastwood on Rawhide and Hang 'Em High, directed the film. The screenplay was written by John Milius and Michael Cimino (who later worked with Eastwood on Thunderbolt and Lightfoot). The film score was composed by Lalo Schifrin. This film features early appearances by David Soul, Tim Matheson, and Robert Urich. At 123 minutes, it is the longest of the five Dirty Harry films.

I really enjoyed Coby’s reaction to Dirty Harry, and it sent me down a rabbit hole of rewatching Coby’s reactions to “LA Confidential” and “In Bruge”. Does anyone know how to make a recommendation, because I think that she would really like John McTeirnan’s “Basic” (2003).

Im glad I renewed my subscription, you play the best movies

Yes!! Magnum Force is amazing. It’s definitely one of those sequels that’s as good as the original. I’m so happy you’re doing reactions to these Coby. Hope you’re having an awesome week.

The Mayor in Dirty Harry was also the Dean in Animal House along with Sweet. Harry's partner in this one was in Dumb and Dumber. Hal Holbrook was in the Firm, the head of the law firm.

You are appearing with the movie blurred and no movie sound, just you talking - how do I fix this?

Like I said before you can not miss with a Clint Eastwood movie. Onto " The Enforcer" I just love Magnum Force, I love how it keeps you flipping on who it is. I do feel this one was a response to the criticism of the first movie Dirty Harry, where critics were calling Harry a vigilante with a badge. This one lightened him up some and wanted to show the difference between Harry and what a real vigilante with a badge would be. Hence the saying in this one is,: "A man got to know his limitations" because Clint will not cross that line. Great movie, I am here and will watch them all with you Coby haha

Oh and Yes, Elvis did buy his mother a Pink Cadillac, although she could not drive. Clint also stars in a movie called "Pink Cadillac" (1989) not his best, but I still love it.

Next up for Dirty Harry: "The Enforcer" (1976)

Since you like Dirty Harry, you will also like: "Death Wish" (1974 original version) Charles Bronson, Jeff Goldblum "The Eiger Sanction" (1975) Clint Eastwood, George Kennedy "The Outlaw Josey Wales" (1976) Clint Eastwood

Coby's reacted to Harry's relationship with the neighbor Sunny was purely from a 'shipper's point of view. However, in 1973 an on-screen kiss, overnighter, and ongoing intimate relationship with an Asian woman was _very_ socially progressive for an actor of Eastwood's status. Along those lines, check out Clint's "The Eiger Sanction" (1975).

Suppressors don’t work on revolvers 😄

Watch the car chase from Bullitt before watching The Dead Pool.
