Sunday night re-ups of some of the older blocked reactions has been fun! Can’t believe I actually reacted to this one a year ago! What a cool edgy and weird 80s classic! And of course… Harry. 🖤

Can I just say I love how you call the comments a discussion group?

Got this one from the criterion collection. I could take it or leave it. So-so. Your boy's other 84 flick is far superior. Paris, Texas 🫡

OK - another personal favourite cult movie. Was probably the best, most iconic roles for both Emilio Estevez and, arguably, Harry Dean Stanton too (although he has a few). Some really dry, sly, sardonic comedy throughout depicting a punk attitude from the British Director, Alex Cox (who also directed Sid and Nancy later). Love his born again parents, white cans with labels like ‘Food’, the reference to ‘Diaretix’ (rather than Ron Hubbard’s Dianetics) and the line ‘I’m glad I tortured you’ cracks me up every time.

Repo Man was a cult film that had the same quirky, sometimes corny, Indie Anti-Film vibes as Rocky Horror Picture Show did in the 70's. Lots of quirky characters, a surreal narrative, with a Sci-fi ending.

I mean how could this be any better?? It’s from 84, it’s trippy, it’s got a punk rock soundtrack, and it’s got Harry being the cool legend he is.
