I’ve heard these two names forever, and I’m aware of the stoner implication, but I’d never seen a minute of their work. So what better time to watch this movie than to celebrate “420”, the unofficial cannabis holiday haha. I also tried to find a thumbnail that was mid-blink to give me a fitting expression! 😂 Reaction highlights up on YouTube on Monday April 20th. Obviously. 🖤

CHEECH & CHONG'S UP IN SMOKE (1978) - Full Watch Along

Up in Smoke (also referred to as Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke) is a 1978 American buddy stoner comedy film directed by Lou Adler in his directorial debut and starring Cheech Marin, Tommy Chong, Tom Skerritt, Edie Adams, Strother Martin, and Stacy Keach. It is Cheech & Chong's film debut. Cheech & Chong had been a counterculture comedy team for about ten years before they started reworking some of their material for their first film. Most of the film was shot in Los Angeles, California, including scenes set in Tijuana, while scenes set on the Mexican border were actually filmed at the border in Yuma, Arizona.

The thumbnail is sublime Coby...... perfection in a picture to capture the true essence that is Cheech and Chong.

Cheech and Chong's "Next Movie" (the 2nd one they made) is much better/funnier

Since you "loved" "Big Trouble in Little China" - please think about reviewing Spielberger's "1941" with Aykroyd, Belushi (as P40 pilot Wild Bill Kelso, John Candy, Warren Oats as Mad Man Maddox, Toshiro Mifune as captain of a Japanese submarine looking to blow up West Coast infrastructure (i.e., Pacific Ocean Park at Venice Beach is in trouble) and a host of other looneys.

Yes!! I'm excited that you did this. I love these two despite not being a stoner. That's a perfect thumbnail too! Ha ha!

Yea!!! Loved Cheech Chong growing up in the 70s. Listened to their albums and watching the movies, Blew my mind when I learned they got their start in Canada.

Cheech and Chong's Next Movie! Great reaction! Your sober mind laughed at a lot of stuff I never noticed before.. like the fact that he took the Rolls-Royce grill and put it on a beatle, I thought was hilarious 😂 I see the grill they keep it on focus for a long time and I look away for a moment (probably to partake) and we're in the next scene.. so, I guess that's how I missed it? 🤔 😄

It occurred to me that you haven't even heard "Dave's Not Here" which is a hugely famous skit of theirs. They did give it a nod in there when the bird answered the door. Check it out on YouTube. It's pure comedy gold and the story behind it is even funnier. The story of the movie is based on album skits they had throughout the early 70's starring Pedro de Pacas and Man.

Yes Coby, I think you need to see more Cheech and Chong. Their Next Movie (which is coincidentally called “Cheech and Chong’s “Next Movie) has an appearance from someone who was in a movie you just reacted to. I won’t spoil it though. I know you didn’t hear the name of their band because you totally would have had some kind of reaction. I’ll give you a hint it’s the combination of the names of two 70s rock stars, one of which is a big favorite of yours. These guys recorded a ton of comedy records in the 70s, so this movie was a huge deal. My mom even saw it at a drive-in. Happy 420 week.✌️☮️

Subsequently Stacy Keach, Sgt Stadenko was busted for cocaine possession in England.

I like "Cheech and Cong's Nice Dreams" (1981) Coby will get a surprise actor comedian ok, he is also in "Cheech and Chong's Next Movie" (1980), I do not want to spoil the surprise. I also like "Things ae Tough All Over" (1982).

You kind of need to be stoned to watch Cheech and Chong movies lol... You should watch Cheech & Chong's The Corsican Brothers, that movie always cracks me up...
