The Rock is so much Fun. One of the best action films of the '90's. Back in 2011 I went to Alcatraz with a group to do an overnight paranormal investigation. The lead ranger gave us a tour after the last Ferry with tourists left and he talked about being there when The Rock was being filmed. It's an Awesome place that echoes with History.

Yup..... that sounds like a good plan.. Love a Saturday surprise almost as much as I love licking my fingers after eating a bag of Cheesey Cheetos , see you later.

The Rock! Very enjoyable action flick. Looking forward to your reaction. There’s been fan theory that the Sean Connery character, John Patric Mason was in fact an older version of James Bond. Do you buy into that fan theory? The tourists at Alcatraz in that movie were very sparse compared to the thousands of tourists who were there when I visited Alcatraz.

Why not indeed...

What a treat for Saturday , I have to be here for this . One of the great action film of the 90's , as you've no doubt heard by now Coby fan theories as to it being a James Bond Film just dressed up differently I feel it's at least an alternate version of him or the director's tribute to the James Bond myth .

Paul Hildebrand

Rainy and cold, so it sounds good to me! Between this and Dirty Harry, there may not be much of San Francisco left.

I enjoyed your reaction, as always. It seems you were warming up the idea that Mason perhaps was James Bond! You seemed to be thinking maybe or maybe not. That was my exact reaction when I originally saw this movie years ago.

My initial introduction to the BEAUTIFUL Clair Forlani - albeit briefly. The beginning of a long troublesome one-sided love affair!

Such a great film. Seen it so many times. I have a feeling that you would really enjoy the Nicholas Cage film “Next”. And if you do then there is a different film called “Midnight Special” that would really keep you guessing.

Love the fact that you caught on to the fan theory of Mason being Bond so quickly and with even knowing it was a fan theory. And you knew that Ed Harris wouldn’t do it. For the record he’s not Bond too many irregularities, one of the main ones being that Bond was Navy and Mason Army but it’s a fun theory.

One of the great '90's action films I had almost forgotten about until now; as always, great commentary on your part! Another great film made about a year earlier, also starring Sean Connery, and Ed Harris in a convincing villainous role: Just Cause, will test your convictions on criminal justice matters, so far could not find any reactions; would love to see you be the first!
