This is ridiculous. Whoever is funding your picks deserves a shoutout. One banger after another. Edit: Did you catch Sigorney Weaver at the end? Loooong shot, but she's pretty tall.

Woody Allen is a strange man but,he's a great screenwriter....best picture of '77⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m so much looking forward to seeing what your thoughts are on this. It’s Woody Allen at his best, though many of his movies seem pretty much the same to me. Diane Keeton was in a lot of Woody Allen movies. This was her most critically acclaimed role. Though I think she was great as Kay Corleone in The Godfather, and GF Part 2.

Shelly Duvall actually played Olive Oyl in a live action version of Popeye.

David Harvey

Yes, Diane Keaton sang those songs.

Woody's friend in the film is Actor Tony Roberts.

Hi, Coby - you should definitely check out Woody Allen's '"Broadway Danny Rose" (1984) co-starring Mia Farrow. This is Allen's hilarious homage to the "screwball comedies" of the 1930's. 😄😄

Annie Hall is Woody Allen’s best movie that bridges the gap between the ‘early funny ones’ and the ‘late serious ones’. Admittedly, the immediate predecessor was Love and Death which is screamingly funny but doesn’t really make a point. Annie Hall is the first RomCom that seems to narrate a full beginning, middle and END of a relationship. It has a non linear structure and is quite anarchic - the moment he pulls out a Director out of nowhere to berate a self appointed movie critic is genius, Allen also clearly hates Hollywood, which is ironic because this movie recieved Oscars.

I’d also mention that Diane Keaton makes this movie - perfect comic timing.

Holy smokes..........I'm considering upping my membership just so I can watch the full watch along! Oh man! I wish I wasn't so broke! Listen.......do Woody and Diane (or Woody and Mia) ANYTIME. Every movie: mind-blowing and one of a kind. (And short!). And always artistically inspiring......always super smart. Some are just flat out hilarious comedies - that's what Woody and Diane had been doing before "Annie Hall"........ and then some are bittersweet comedies, or comedy-dramas. The greatest melding of comedy and drama since Chaplin. (I just came up with that! lol) (but it's true!). Ok......I'm just going to bite the bullet and watch the edit for now.....but I will be back! For this AND The King Of Comedy full lengths!!! This channel is fantastic! Being There......now Annie Hall?!!!!! GTFO!!!!! I sing songs about this channel! LOL. (just kidding, lol......but it's a great lineup! A murderer's row of great, great movies!)

Ha! "New York Or Nowhere"! Amen to that, sis! Sure, I'd love to leave......but to where?!!! :P Perfect, perfect sweater for this movie!

Never sure how people (individuals) feel about Woody Allen these days, but Annie Hall is, for me, the start of a 12-year period when he was at his peak as a film-maker. If you want to combine some Woody Allen with Peter Sellers, then What's New Pussycat (Allen's 1st movie as writer and actor) is quite a fun watch.

Tough to watch Woody Allen films these days, but Annie Hall is still an era defining classic. I would vote for Crimes and Misdemeanors as a must watch. (And Purple Rose of Cairo)
