Really happy you explained this, Monti is always lost in his head that it's hard to know what's on his mind, Larry himself said the same thing in the earlier chapters

Random question, but why was it so easy for Monti to abandon Larry before the wolf attack? During the attack, why was he so willing and quick to abandon not only Larry, but also Ronnie and Richie? Was Richie the only reason he came with them?
