Does it have to be one or the other? Why not just have them switch every once in a while, it sounds more like a fair relationship to me.

The irony is while I want both to be active in the sense of taking turns being the active one, if we had to choose one, story wise it makes sense that since Jasper was the one to declare his love first, Vincent should be the active one to show that the love in the relationship isn't too one-sided.
