Rise up and slip away.

Loose loops

Loops can be open or closed, but hold them loosely. Give your partner space to slip away.

Reloop

Loops can be fixed and inanimate, or they can be living and fluid. In LMA, every movement is alive and responsive. If a loop dissolves, flow to the next without hesitation. Release a loop when a better loop reveals itself.

The activity

Partners take turns as the slippery partner and the sticky partner. The slippery partner begins on the ground in a baby‑crawl position. The sticky partner rests gently across their partner's back, establishing a loose loop (open or closed) and applying only enough pressure to "stick." The slippery partner's objective is to rise and slip away. The sticky partner casually (without commitment or permanence) tries to stick to their partner. When separation is clear, trade roles and repeat.

One-loop variation

Sticky partners hold a single loop. If that loop breaks, release and allow the escape.

Reloop variation

Sticky partners may continue to stick and reestablish new loops until they are prevented from relooping. "Sticking" should primarily occur through gentle pressure, positioning, and body weight, rather than solely with the arms.

Final note

Ease precedes skill. Prioritize safety over sticking or slipping. The activity should feel effortless for both partners.
