89 – A History of US Wars w/ David Vine

We speak to anthropologist and historian David Vine about his new book "The United States of War: A Global History of America's Endless Conflicts, from Columbus to the Islamic State." It's not only a book we think everyone should read, but it's a book that should be assigned at schools along with "A People's History of the United States." We sometimes earmark episodes as being critical to understanding our historical/political context, and this is definitely one of those episodes. Listen, discuss, recalibrate, and share. We can't continue to produce important episodes like this one without your solidarity. There is no Southpaw without your financial support. In return, not only do you help produce the show but you also get access to more great content. It's mutual aid.
