Keep feet shoulder-width apart, legs stiff, hinge at hips, and bend over. It's okay to round your back. It's also okay to bend your knees, but it's not a squat. After bending over, if you can't touch the ground, bend the knees just enough to touch your fingertips to the ground, then lock in that position. Walk out with your hands until you're in a push-up position.
Stay rooted on the balls of your feet and not floating on the tips of your toes (or your shoes).
Keep your body at ease. Avoid tension. Move as if you had no shoulders. Since you'll be doing LMA from a relaxed state, you want this state represented even in your conditioning. Like a flexible tree sapling, a supple body is a resilient body.
You can do the entire walk on your palms, fingers then palms, all on your fingertips, or even your knuckles.
Then walk back to standing position. This will develop overall flexibility and condition your arms, wrists, and fingers for impact. This is also nice to counterbalance all the leg work you'll be putting in.
You can even add a push-up at the end. Keep your breath steady throughout the exercise. Strengthening while lengthening means reducing tension.
