Skip Teep (Patreon)

A variation of the step teep is the skip teep. When you use one or the other is based on the conditions. Perhaps your step teep will be too slow or telegraphed, then this is another option.
Instead of stepping forward with your rear leg and then lifting your lead leg to kick, you step forward and lift simultaneously.
The key to this movement is slightly leaning back as you step forward to make your lead leg light. Then, as you lean back to neutral, you step back into stance.
Lean back as you step forward, step back as you lean forward.
You're moving like a pendulum to maintain equilibrium. We've covered this universal pattern in our units on hopping and shifting. Previous scaffolding builds the next scaffolding. Motor skills build movement skills.
