Pretend you have an invisible training partner in front of you, and like a dance partner, they will do everything you do backward—always facing and connected to you.

Start from your Position Zero (L-stance or J-stance), and just as if you're leading a dance, lead your partner around in a figure eight using only your footwork. The better you can imagine a person, the more variations you will have because you'll never make the same figure eight twice with an actual person. Your practice environment can also create conditions for you to adapt around. Keep in mind the figure eight doesn't have to be perfect.

Try this from both stances, both directions. Then try it again, where you're the one being led by an invisible partner. Follow your partner's lead from both stances in both directions.

This practice game will incorporate most of what you've learned in Fundamental Movement Skills 1 and improve your game sense and wayfinding.

Once you develop a good sense for footwork and movement, if you ever lose sight of your opponent during a match, you can deduce where they are based on footwork (yours and your opponent's).
