Phew~! Thanks again, Patreons! I recently discovered Pippin likes the smell and kinda the taste of strawberries. Every time I start washing and preparing them to eat, he's right at my feet begging for one. I looked it up to see if it was safe for kitties, and they are listed as non-toxic to both dogs and cats. Interestingly they are related to mint plants which contains a chemical profile similar to nepetalactol; which is found in catnip. Some cats are more sensitive to these receptors and will be compelled to chew or eat strawberries or their leaves. The only caution is strawberries have a high sugar content, so they can be a given as a small treat, but it won't be good for them if the cat eats too much.  Luckily, Pippin mostly likes to lick the discarded leafy tops, and he's only eaten a tiny amount of actual strawberry. He's such a weird cat...
