Hey all, just a heads up that the next page may be posted a bit later tomorrow because after 7 years of service, my tablet is starting to break down on me.  It's time to retire it and blow $300+ on a new one. :')I got as far as I could with the page so far borrowing a friend's tablet, but I can't continue it until I forage through the snow and ice to get to a Best Buy tomorrow to replace my own.  Thanks for being so patient! I really want to get back into the comic, too!

7 years is a good run though! Careful in the snow and ice tomorrow!

Is it a Wacom? There was a recent post from the Atomic Robo people about how their tablet's drivers have been going flaky lately, and that Wacom is trying to fix it. It's on their patrons only blog though. "I will spare you the gory details but here's the cliff-notes: Wacom did a super dumb thing that has completely hosed me and countless other people. Because of this dumb thing my Cintiq has been harder and harder to work with since about mid-December, and basically reached "$2000 Paperweight!" Status around New Years eve. I, a grown ass man, have almost cried twice trying to cope with this. Wacom is clearly scrambling to fix the problem with their drivers, but they are not scrambling nearly fast enough. Brian helped me a find an outdated version of the drivers on a server somewhere in Asia and now my machine is back to just "wow this really sucks to work on" status, which is a huge improvement from "I think it's dead". But it's still terrible. The best way I can describe the current state of my machine is this; imagine you are trying to write your name on something but someone keeps knocking your elbow and/or turning up gravity so that you can't control how hard you are pressing down on the pen. Also your pen randomly bleeds ink everywhere."
