The lumberjack (Patreon)

You’d think I’d let the men handle it, right? Being a lumberjack—swinging an axe, hauling massive logs—it’s not exactly a job people expect a woman to do. But the truth is, I love it. I could easily make the men do it for me, but watching them struggle with tasks I can do effortlessly? It’s almost pathetic.
I step into the forest, my axe in hand, and I can feel the stares. They’ve seen me work before, seen the way I handle the trees with a strength they can’t even begin to match. With one swing, I can bring a tree crashing down, muscles flexing as I make it look so easy. The men? They huff and puff, barely managing to dent the wood, and it’s almost embarrassing to watch.
But that’s the thing—I like doing this myself. There’s something satisfying about the raw power I feel when I’m chopping down a tree, knowing that no one else could come close to matching me. The men try, bless them, but compared to me? They’re just pathetic.
I could sit back, let them break their backs trying to keep up, but where’s the fun in that? I enjoy the challenge, the feeling of control, the sheer power that surges through me with every swing of the axe. The logs they struggle to lift, I can carry on my shoulders without breaking a sweat. I don’t need anyone to do this for me—I own this job, and I love it.
The men may try, but deep down, they know the truth. They’re not lumberjacks anymore, not with me around. I’ve taken over, and they’re just background noise now.
