I felt their eyes before I even turned around.
It was always the same. The moment I walked in, the room shifted—conversations quieted, drinks paused mid-sip, and heads turned in silent, involuntary awe. I didn’t try to command attention. I just did.
And right now? He was staring the hardest.
Tall, well-dressed, looking like he wasn’t sure if he wanted to fight his instincts or give in to them completely. And beside him? His wife.
She was staring too.
I smirked, running my fingers along the rim of my untouched glass before glancing over my shoulder. “I can see you staring.”
His whole body tensed, like I had caught him in something dirty. But before he could stammer out some excuse, I tilted my head, eyes flicking toward his wife.
“By the way… she can see it too.”
His breath hitched. She said nothing.
I chuckled softly, turning fully to face them, one hip cocked, my dress clinging to every impossibly sculpted curve. “Don’t worry, sweetheart,” I murmured, letting my gaze linger on her now. “She’s staring too.”
The silence stretched between us, thick with something unspoken.
I traced a slow circle around the base of my glass, letting the tension simmer just a little longer before leaning in slightly, my voice dropping into something softer.
“Why don’t you come over here and buy me a drink?”
His throat bobbed. She exhaled, a sharp little breath she probably didn’t mean to let slip.
I smirked. There it was.
My eyes flicked back to him, teasing. “She can come too.”
I straightened, rolling my shoulders, letting my sheer presence fill the space between us. “I like when people play together,” I mused, letting the words settle in their minds. “And let’s be honest… this night just got a lot more interesting for both of you.”
Neither of them moved at first. Then, like clockwork, she reached for his hand, lacing her fingers through his as they took a step forward.
I smiled.
Smart choice.
