It’s near midnight when I lean against the windowsill, cigarette in hand. The soft glow of neon signs from the streets below flickers across my muscles, tracing every curve, every ridge. I blow a curl of smoke into the darkness, watching it dance in front of my reflection—broad shoulders, powerful arms, a body carved from countless hours of sweat and iron.
I used to feel small in this world—just another face lost in the city. But not anymore. Every rep, every bruise, every bead of sweat transformed me into something more. Something untouchable. Now, when I look out at the swaying skyline, I don’t see a place too big to conquer. I see a kingdom waiting to be claimed.
I take another slow drag, letting the taste of smoke and triumph linger on my tongue. Below, car horns echo, sirens fade in and out, but none of it ruffles me. Not when I’ve worked so hard to build this power. Let them stare. Let them wonder. I’ve become unstoppable—a force of muscle and will that bends reality to my whim.
I flick the ash into a tray perched on the sill. The faint glow of the cigarette catches in my eyes, and for a split second, I see a thousand possibilities reflected back. A thousand paths all pointing to the same truth:
I own this night. And by the time dawn breaks, the rest of the world will figure it out too.
