As one of the people requesting this show, I understand not wanting to continue due to the overall comedic feel of the show. While it does introduce some more serious stuff later, it takes a while to get there, and even that is often sprinkled with some humor. If you're looking for something more serious, i'd highly highly recommend the anime Black Lagoon. It's much more serious and gritty, only really one stipulation though...you have to watch the english dub.

I honestly don't know what to say, im kinda speechless. Like you said, this is too goofy but yet you're watching fairy tail, I'm just like 🫤? There's still more to it, it's gonna take more than two episodes tho.

Fairy tail is goofy but it’s not repetitive (yet). It could become repetitive eventually but seeing kids try to kill their teacher EVERY EPISODE is boring. It’s rinse and repeat. To me. Everything is going to hit different for everyone tho!

Yeah I figured it was going to just be here and there that we get a more serious plot. I just don’t like episodic television and this show is the epitome of that.

That's the main concept of the show, but like I said there's more to it, like backstory. The students get some backstory and character development, as well as the teacher. It's comedic, but It also has it's serious moments. I say give it a few more episodes, but if you're not willing to do that, I say let's go with some movies.

oh well, I understand, black lagoon can also feel a little episodic, but the arcs are longer, typically taking at least three episodes per arc. It's also shorter overall, classroom has two 24 episode seasons. Lagoon has two 12 episode seasons, and a five part mini movie/ova. I highly suggest at least giving it a shot. If that's still to episodic though, than my last big recommendation right now would the the anime Monster. serious, non episodic, and longer than either previous show, about 70 ish episodes I believe.

About an anime with a long and good plot I think that you are going to love From the new world (Shinsekai Yori) This is a masterpiece, It has a long plot, it is deep, it is very serious and mess up, it is not easy at all to figure out what is going on, it is dark and sometimes cruel.

About movies If you like the tv show dark, I think you are going to love - Vanilla sky - Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Anime films similar would be -Paprika -Perfect Blue

If you want a good cry I recommend these films - What Dreams May Come - Good Will Hunting - Big fish - look back (anime) - a silent voice (anime)

If you want something that'll make you cry I'll stick with my recommendation in the poll (violet evergarden). If you're looking for something with a darker theme "fate/zero" is really good
