I tried assassination classroom and it just wasn’t my cup of tea so we need a new show.

I was thinking we could do some movies in this tier instead there are tons of classics I’ve never seen like the matrix, alien movies, predator, Star Trek, American Psycho, etc.

if you guys are more interested in shows then we can still do that!

once I read through all the suggestions I’ll pick a couple I am most interested in and then I’ll add a few of my own. How does that sound? If that’s sounds good, leave your show/movie suggestions in the comments below! :)

For anime, I'd recommend black lagoon in the dub, monster, and kill la kill. For TV shows I'd say chernobyl. For movies, absolutely the first two alien movies, the first predator, and the original the thing movie if you haven't seen it.

Mars

The Legend of Vox Machina!

Frank Rosales

danmachi anime, alien is pretty good but leave out Alien 4

For anime, I'd recommend Call of the Night. It's getting a season 2 soon, so now would be the perfect time to join in on it. Movie-wise, there's a lot to see. Matrix is definitely a great hit. Would recommend it always. There's also Commando, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. I thoroughly enjoyed that one in my teen years. The Mummy with Brendan Fraser is an esteemed classic I will never not enjoy. If you haven't seen it, might be worth a watch. There are multiple sequels to that one.

I think that call of the night is a very good option

American Psycho!! Definitely a favorite of mine and an iconic movie in general! I’m into to very dark, gritty, and suspenseful themes so regarding shows, I’d definitely recommend Hannibal (the TV series). The show is so damn good and underrated and just feels like it was way ahead of its time!! The actor that plays young Hannibal, Mads Mikkelsen, really thrives in his role and keeps you on the edge of your seat with mystery and suspense.

I’d recommend watching the trailers if you haven’t already, but not if it’s too much trouble. Tv Shows: The Handmaid’s Tale: The world has a sudden decline in birthrates, and the US is overtaken by a corrupt religious society. Where the few woman who are still fertile are forced to be “Handmaids”, who have the children of the men who are in power. The MC is a new Handmaid, and plots to escape and find her lost daughter. Tell Me Lies: Based on a romantic novel. Not really Dark romance. But it’s relatively toxic, in a good and entertaining way. It’s a college setting. MC finds themself falling for a guy, who most ppl would say is not a good person lol. Movies: The Matrix- sci fi/action The Thing- sci fi/horror Armageddon-sci fi/thriller

I say let's go with movies. Gladiator is a must watch. The matrix series after that.

Grizzly

If you haven't already, "Lord of the rings" trilogy is a must watch. Very long movies admittedly, but well worth it

I’m not aware of what you have seen off camera, but I will try my best to give you some of my favorites! For anime: 1- Horimiya ❤️ (slice of life with 2 seasons) 2- Kingdom 💙⚔️ (anime based historical real life events with a Japanese seasoning 😜, which is “Unification of China” with a successful ongoing manga) (P.s. the first season of the anime unfortunately was adopted poorly with 80% CGI and 20% animation, even though it is not as bad as everyone thinks, because I personally enjoyed it, but you have other option which is 4 live action movies that gave more justice to the 1st season. Once you get to the 2nd season, you will love it more and more) 3- Higehiro (A comedy anime mixed with a heavy drama and sadness) 4- Oregairu (A slice of life anime well balanced with comedy, drama, and love) 5- Tomo Chan is a girl (Romcom and slice of life anime) 6- Don’t Tease Me Miss Nagatoro (The typical “a girl bullies the guy she secretly loves”) 7- Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress (It’s an original anime from the same studio of Attack on Titan (WIT Animation) (with 12 episodes and 3 movies) For Movies: I will give you some underrated classics that are my favorites first: 1- Judgement Night 1993 2- Trespass 1992 3- The Replacements 2000 4- House of D 2004 Then I suggest that you watch Quentin Tarantino’s movies in this order (based on personal experience): Pulp Fiction - Jackie Brown - Kill Bill 1 - Kill Bill 2 - Inglorious Basterds - Django Unchained - The Hateful Eight For tv shows: 1- Mare of Easttown (Mini criminal and drama series with only 7 episodes that takes in small town) 2- Mr. Hiiragi’s Homeroom (A Japanese drama series with 10 episodes) 3- Bodyguard 2018 (A British criminal series with only 6 episodes) 4- The IT Crewd (A super funny British sitcom with only 24 episodes and a special final episode) And optional of course; one of my favorite series of all time that still going: The Walking Dead❤️ (I understand many people gave up on it, but trust me the story is still going strong in opinion) Hope this suggests help ✅

AwakeProductions!

I’ve seen it but if I could rewatch it for the first time I definitely would

No worries. Fortunately, there is no shortage of great classics to choose from. I'll go with Gladiator as my first choice, but matrix, alien (I agree with another comment here, I'd skip no. 4) and predator are all great options too

Louie_91-Z28

I've not seen any of the star wars movies. That would've been a good series to react to.
