I’m with you. This show ain’t it for me personally. I wouldn’t mind dropping. Wonder what others think of the season.

Zoheb Satta

Yeah if you're not enjoying the show, you shouldn't force yourself to keep watching

Sam

I could be wrong but I feel like your tastes have changed a bit in the last year or so. Generally speaking you just seem less invested than you once were. Which is fine. It happened to me a fair while back now. There was a time when I used to get really hyped by things like Goku going Super Saiyan for the first time. Over time my level of excitement and ability to be easily emotionally moved by shows and movies diminished. Sometimes something will sneak up on me and hit me in the feels. Made in Abyss season 2 stuck with me for months afterwards. I kept watching Gently Superlover on YouTube for weeks after the episode of My Hero aired. For me that scene was the most hype moment of the season. This current anime season the show that has surprised me by how much I’m enjoying it is Apocalypse Hotel. I wouldn’t say it’s my most anticipated show each week but I’ve enjoyed every episode. Which is a surprise because when I read the description I thought the show would be boring and it’s anything but.

It’s been a fair while since I saw season 2 of Fire Force but I don’t feel this current season is much worse than the previous ones. Maybe it’s a little worse but I feel like the biggest criticism I would level at it is that it’s more of the same. I’ve had a partial spoiler about how the entire series ends so that’s kept me interested enough to keep watching in order to see how that plays out. Out of all the anime I’m watching this season Fire Force is pretty low on the list in terms of enjoyment/anticipation but not low enough that I would think about dropping it.

I was wondering if there’s a distinction between how much you enjoy shows you react to and shows you watch on your own time. Do shows you react to have to be better than the ones you watch on your own? Or is it the other way around? If you really enjoy something would you prefer not to have your attention split by your reaction duties? I’ve been surprised a couple of times when I’ve heard you mention that you had watched something without reacting to it.

Felix

I think as well that this is not the same anymore. It feels so slow. I just watched this episode with you because you reacted to it. I have not idea if it will improve eventually. But at this point I wouldn't mind if you drop it.

Felix

About call of the night, I think you should try to react to the season 1. The first part is a fun watch, but the second part becomes very interesting. I really liked. And is very popular.
