You should do Episode 220 from Fairy Tail too since it's adapting an Omake that Mashima wrote so it is canon

Armon abron

This is like a pre set up for the arc the tartaros starts off insane

Armon abron

The colors are on purpose to match the tone of the arc

Nathan Quimby

Ah let me clarify it's a new studio and art style. It's a darker tone for the arc setup.

Nathan Quimby

Better get used to the art style because it's international and lasts the whole arc. 😅

Nathan Quimby

Yeah unfortunately. 😅 Supposed to be darker coloring because it's a darker arc. I think.

There’s something really pure about Mavis and the founding of Fairy Tail, and how her spirit carries on through every generation of guild members. Every time there’s a flashback to the early days, with her big smile and that music kicking in, it’s hard not to get a little emotional. She just radiates joy. Even small moments, like Warrod specifically remembering her smile, really show how much she meant to everyone. It honestly gives me chills.

Saekoa

I love Mavis so much... I am so glad Fairy Tail Zero exists. The short spinoff that gives a lot of her backstory. 100% must watch

After episode 175, another studio took over producing the Fairy Tail anime. Look it up on wikipedia. I actually didn’t notice the change in animation when I first started watching Fairy Tail. I didn’t get into the show until 2021 long after the series ended. As for this arc, it isn’t the Tartaros Arc. It’s the Sun Village Arc. Only lasts 7 episodes but it leads into the Tartaros Arc. It’s kind of like a calm before the storm arc. You’ll get it when this one ends and Tartaros begins. Make sure you have tissues at your side because it is a tear jerker. You can tell it will because this arc starts with a bang, literally.

im always rooting for kota. Lol

Frank Rosales

The animation will be this way for the entire arc. Also these few episodes are considered the prelude to the Arc with new lore drops leading into the Tartaros Arc

Nelly Sidney

I love how every other reactors avoid openings like a plague and you, on the other hand, are studying them seconds by seconds to get all the clues !

Freed might be but unknown on his sexuality. I think he just extremely reveres him to an unhealthy level. Laxus is straight. Talked about in community though and shippers fight on who laxus should end up with. I want laxus and mirajane to get together. Hinted at in manga covers but every ship is in the air.

joy444boy

the reason why this arc is so colorless is because i think they were trying to prepare you as tartaros is probably the darkest arc in fairy tail. after this arc the color is back to what we’re used to so the desaturation was really just used for tartaros, so its a deliberate choice and i love it actually because i feel like its perfect for this fan favorite arc

Daniel Oky

Freed is definitely implied gay or at least bi. There was one chapter in the manga volume 33 extras (this was during the Grand Magic Games arc) where the Blue Pegasus nudes came out and Freed was very happy at seeing the naked men. As for Laxus...I guess we technically don't know but there's been no indication that he's anything other than straight, so I think he's straight.

Saekoa

To answer your question/trail of thought. Dryads are usually just female tree spirits. Warrod is closer to a druid. They can take on plant/animal traits or full transformations.

wolfgangfang Yt

funny enough they have been hinting at freed being gay since the battle of fairy tail its been a thing since awhile ago and i think its great

Louie Marcou

Skipping episode 220 is insane
