The science in superhero stuff never makes much sense. One thing I always question is when a character’s powers come from them being modified by radiation or chemicals ie. bit by a radioactive spider or given super soldier serum, why would those powers necessarily be inherited by their children?

For example when Wolverine is given a metal skeleton through an operation if he had any children they wouldn’t be born with metal skeletons.

Even if the radiation or chemicals modify someone’s DNA to give them their powers I don’t necessarily think that would carry over to their sperm or eggs. Because I think of it as the difference between modifying a house after it’s already been built vs changing the blueprints for the house before it’s built.

I’ve been thinking about this because I was wondering if Eve’s powers could have been inherited by her and Mark’s child.

As for your theory that Eve is still pregnant, I have to debunk it. Eve says her powers have returned (after aborting the baby), so she clearly isn’t pregnant anymore. Also, it’s not impossible to abort a child conceived by superpowered beings, after all, Marko was a normal human for 18 years, so the baby was human too.
