Dunno if you already watched but 102 is full filler.

Luffy IS dumb and selfish, and it's all fine to feel frustrated with him. But in his defense every instance of him wasting water so far has been only in the anime. The worst he does in the manga is drink way more than he should sometimes. In trying to pad out the episode's runtime the anime is making Luffy look far more wasteful than he actually is.

Damien

In the manga Luffy isn't nearly as selfish but a little bit.

Ziggy Stardust

No offense but in some shows you watch, the main characters are like murdering psychopaths... and that somehow bothers you less than Luffy selfishly spilling some water? 😅 Also, in real life, a 10 minute shower uses like 25 gallons of water, and in the US we throw away about 40% of all the food we produce... we're all wasteful as fuck and selfish in our own ways, even without realizing it.

somewhere around these parts, maybe after Alabasta arc, you might want to start looking into One Pace, around here starts the decline of pacing

Jay CacBh

I don't like one pace for the simple facts that it cuts out anime canon content as well. essentially ruining some very beautiful episodes in the process that can only be experienced watching the original aired episodes.

Milo

You will understand Luffy better, a little later, and i would say most people agree with you on your take on Luffy, also he does change a bit, enough that you won't hate him, he is only 17yo that is a kid to me

I'm glad you like ace he is my favorite character in one piece looking forward to your next one piece reaction

With Luffy you take the bad with the good. His impulsiveness and not thinking about the consequences is also why he's able to instantly go challenge someone like Arlong without worrying about the risks.
